Mr. Shryock has bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a masters degree in the Management of Technology from MIT. He had a 25 year career at IBM which spanned several product divisions, two locations, and several engineering, planning, and management positions. He began his second career in engineering education in 2007 when he joined NC State as an undergraduate academic advisor and lecturer in the College of Engineering. He has been in his current position as Associate Director of Distance Education Programs since 2010. In his current role, he is responsible for the administration of online engineering graduate programs and is the primary liaison with university and external technology groups related to the production and delivery of online engineering courses.
