Cold Spray Metal Coatings: A Practical Repair Tool for Remanufacturing

Attendees of this presentation will learn about the Cold Spray process and how it applies to remanufacturing activities. The process is easy to learn and requires no special skill sets. Several Cold Spray applications will be described to show how the process accommodates a wide range of component shapes, sizes, and materials - such as cast iron, aluminum, and magnesium. Participants will discover how industry leading companies have adapted CenterLine SST™ Cold Spray systems, from hand-held manual to automated robotic equipment, as a proven and viable process alternative to welding, thermal spray, and cladding. Understand how Cold Spray technology can supplement, or even replace, existing remanufacturing processes to improve throughput, shrink turnaround time, and increase margins.

Key Take-Aways:
  • Understand why Cold Spray is a reliable coating system for metal repair, dimensional restoration, and protection
  • Learn how SST™ Cold Spray complements existing remanufacturing processes
  • Discover the benefits of Cold Spray over conventional welding, thermal spray, and cladding processes
