Cartons enter the cell riding on a FlexLink conveyor where they are gated in groups corresponding to their postion and quantity relative to the collating conveyor. Three different size cartons were initially accommodated with minimal change-over time by means of manual tool-less end of arm tooling (EOAT) and automatic robotic change tooling. (read more)

Lipstick caps are sorted from bulk in a Farason pocketed sorter and fed to a pick and place that places them onto lipstick bases riding in boats. Completed assemblies are removed from the boats and placed into shipped trays. (read more)

Cubitainer boxes, transported directly from an upstream Pearson box erecting machine, enter the Farason system via a Hytrol conveyor.

Farason received the Pearson from the system integrator, Filamatic, Baltimore, MD, for integration to the Farason supplied box conveyors and use for testing and debugging the Farason system. (read more)

Strands of product organized in 16 lines or more across a product conveyor, as fed from an upstream extruder, pass through a cutter, where they are cut into a specifi c product length, 8" to 10", as dictated by each SKU requirement. (read more)

The AZCO ACU-SERT™ Coupon Inserter CI-250 automatically feeds coupons from a preprinted roll of stock, detects the registration mark, and dispenses the coupon. Operation can be continuous or on demand. The unit is self-contained and cleanly cuts paper, film or foil inserts. Overwrapped coupons and leaflet pouches may also be fed from a fan-folded web.
