Griffin Pump & Equipment, Inc.
Griffin Deep Well Dewatering System
The deep well dewatering system is also a versatile predrainage dewatering system which can pump high and low volumes of groundwater. This method is best suited to homogeneous aquifers that extend well below the bottom of the excavation. Deep well systems consist of one or more individual wells, each of which has its own submersible pump at the bottom of the well. Deep well systems are suitable for water-table or confined aquifers and will lower the water table 100 feet or more in a single lift... (read more)

Griffin Pump & Equipment, Inc.
Eductor Dewatering System
. The system uses a venturi to draw groundwater into the well screen and up to the surface. In the single pipe packer system the large diameter pipe forms the well casing and a smaller inner pipe forms the return line. Water is pumped under high pressure along the annulus between the two pipes and is forced through the nozzle and venturi. The groundwater is then recovered through the well and into the return pipe, resulting in a stabilizing effect in fine-grained soils. Advantages. Not limited... (read more)

Water, Water Everywhere and Not a Drop to Drink; Staying Dry When Groundwater Infiltrates the Jobsite
to groundwater personalities that must be understood: Perched water sits on top of clay layers, or hard pans of compacted mineral deposits and can have dry soil underneath it. Uplift pressure is the nature of groundwater to seek its original water table level, which generates an upward pressure
