Q:
Do you know of any disastrous mistakes that occurred due to the incorrect usage of industrial valves?
6 answers
Answers:
We had moisture in the air for about 60 days due to non working of the air dryer. Due to this moisture , the actuator was not actuated by the coil. The valve started working again after some time, while the moisture disappeared. When the valve stoped working , we maintained a regular practice of cleaning of the valves with diesel and applied oil for lubrication. The valve started working for few days, but we observed that the gasket of the plunger was damaged due to the oil.
~Prasoon P, Engineer, Haridwar, India
Incorrect fitting to adapt with the equipment in question Will not work if voltage is mistaken For high temperature, if wrongly ordered, it will melt the seal or there will be steam leak Lastly, it will burn if it becomes too hot as steam valves works in worst condition (Very Hot)
