How to Select Cryogenic Pumps
Image Credit: Price Pump Company | Almatec | Adixen
Cryogenic pumps are pumps designed to move coolants and cryogenic liquids. They are built to withstand and operate in extremely cold temperatures. Many of these pumps feature hermetically sealed designs to minimize heat leakage from the motor or contamination by process fluids into the...

My opinion about two stage helium cryo (up 5000 liters per second): 1. old adsorber - 10000 hours , new adsorber - 20000 hours 2. regeneration time: old - 3- 4 hours, new - 20- 50 minues 3.Old helium cryo compressor - one cryo pump, new cryo compressor 3-4 cryopump. 4. Two-channels thermometer Si- diodes (measuring temperature of cryo pump, first and second stage)
Reliable High Quality Insulation, Efficient and reliable pumping
Energy efficient when compared to the high pressure compressors.
Use of lead based seals.
I know only Varian, Ebara and Oksford from Austin, but very good compressors (compressor capsule) are made by Hitachi, not by Ebara. However, in my opinion, only small firms assembling good cryo pumps for individual clients create the most innovative cryo pumps. I buy relief valves, helium pipes, compressors, etc. in the global market. But individual software and size of flange from big companies is too expensive.
I have used Blackmer, Corker, LSI Triplex pumps, ACD pumps. Not sure what technologies they are developing.
Ebara, Cryostar
Applications and UseTop
Cleaning "difficult to remove" surface deposits and scales. Applications in mining and drilling. Chemical processing.
Transfer of cryogenic liquid to elevations, to convert the cryoliquid into high pressure gases.
For pumping liquid nitrogen in cooling systems, for LN tanks filling etc.
Liquid Nitrogen will be pumped through high pressure vaporizer, from there it would be fed to the system through the cylinder.
Gas Cylinder Filling. (Piston type) Liq Transfer (Centrifugal)
Provide nitrogen gas for a HIPping operation.
Clean vacuum, implantation.
Fire and explosion protection in oil and gas fields.
1. Regeneration pumps if vent is open (cryo pumps pumping dangerous gases) 2. Incorrect connection of 3-phase helium compressor. 3. Nitrogen for regeneration is not dry (cryo pumping corrosive gases).
Make sure any contractor is fully knowledgeable in fluid flow and thermodynamics of cryogenic fluids.
Hydraulic shock
FeaturesTop
Automatic pump startup is preferred because pump would run for 15 minutes and stop for 45 minutes. During startup it should not require manual intervention for draining out the gas and starting of the pump.
Ability to pump various fluids from liquid nitrogen to supercritical carbon dioxide at rates of 20 to 60 gallons per minute.
A small pump with best quality performance and long lifetime.
Solve problems of sealing, bearing, superinsulation
Cylinder filling up to 300 bar .
1.Selection - while selecting, choose company with the closest service available 2. Usage - Do not get supply and return helium pipes wrong.
Automatic running of the pump with out manual intervention baseline requirement.
Seal and insulation problems.

Wherever high pressure compressors are running can be replaced with a cryogenic pump.
I want to know companies who are able to produce and sell cryo pumps.
