First of all, I am an aircraft system engineer working on B777-200 LR, B767-300, B757-200, B737-700/-800 and MD 11 and Q400 AIRCRAFT. All these aircrafts have hydraulic power systems which provide hydraulic power to the respective hydraulic actuators. And different systems like landing gear and brake systems, flight control systems, thrust reverser systems and even hydraulic power systems, use hydraulic systems to move their respective actuators to change hydraulic power into mechanical energy [power]. Most of the time the hydraulic power is distributed using a hydraulic tube but in some special places it uses hydraulic hose for places having vibration and needs flexibility [like brake system] . Sometimes as a spare hydraulic hose is used in hydraulic shop benches which are used to test different aircraft hydraulic system components.
