Buying AdviceTop

Q:
Do you have any advice for people relative to buying or using leak testing equipment?
6 answers
Answers:
Choose equipment that performs self tests upon start-up. It is reassuring to see indications that the equipment is achieving good vacuum after power switch is turned on and internally the leak detector itself is functioning properly.
~Engineer, Greenbelt, MD
Understand what they are asking for when they specify their leak rate. Be able to communicate why they are doing the leak test, what is the purpose of the leak test. To understand the cycle time required for the leak test.
~Dan M, Staff Engineer, Cypress, TX
