What are some of the applications you have used dewatering equipment for?

Answers:
We do continuous analysis in drilling sites. Because those are isolated, we have to be self-sufficient. Compressed air is the most common gas which you do not have to have bottles or anything else to carry on. Most chromatographs dislike water (and condensate in general), so we have to use filter or other equipment to dewater the gas supply and the sample.

Pumping inflows into the bottom of a 200m deep open cut mine out to the surface for safe mining. The water we pump is hot, as the mine is located in a geothermal active area (at the crater of a dormant volcano).

We often use adsorption chemistries to recover "components" of a waste stream prior to standard dewatering, which reduces or eliminates the need for hazardous waste classifications and captures the value that would be lost.

With the emphasis on sustainability in today's market, lower energy use is always a good thing to include in the design, along with using materials that won't bankrupt the user when replacing parts.

Make sure to pilot test or have a demonstration performed on the exact sludge you will be dewatering. Don't take the results of jar tests as how the actual unit will perform. Visit and talk with other users of the equipment to get information on operating, customer service and maintenance issues and concerns.
