I have sold metal castings to the TV Transmission industries with a part called a dry load body, 11 inches long 4-1/2 x 4-1/2, finned, slotted, step drilled, a very intricate part. Coal mining industries with a "cyclone," "vortex finders" Housings, impellers, vanes, rotors, shafts,caps, tools.

Mistakes can happen in process. Few can be rectified and loss can be minimized. But carelessness with specified methods or standards.overlooking will be disastrous anyway.

Porosity on a high pressure bulkhead causing leakage into electronics section. Failure of lifting eye due to inclusion in casting.
