Pry bars, also known as crowbars or pinch bars, are hand tools constructed of steel which are used to remove nails and pry apart building materials in demolition and construction applications. Pry bars have an angled flattened end, sometimes forked, that allow to be used as a lever. Crowbars are designed with a curved end and angled end that allow proper leverage during nail removal.
Pry bars can be produced in several different forms. For example, bars with only one prying end typically have an ergonomic handle at the other end, while other bars are designed to pry with both ends.
