Teledyne Technologies, which serves niche market segments that emphasize performance, precision, and reliability, has agreed to acquire LeCroy, whose reputation for high-performance instruments and measuring equipment spans almost 50 years. Teledyne anticipates that LeCroy will give the company an outlet for its in-house-developed leading-edge measurement solutions. The transaction offers LeCroy an attractive opportunity to expand products such as its high-end oscilloscopes well past the 100 GHz range by taking advantage of Teledyne's leading-edge indium phosphide (InP) technology.
