Converting to Brushless is No Fish Story
A customer asked for a new deep sea fishing reel motor that automatically winds in the fish once hooked. Dynetic suggested a low voltage, high current BLDC design (replacing a much larger PMDC motor). Adding a BLDC motor and a controller, the fisherman can now return to the same depth after catching a fish, use variable retrieval rates, digital readouts, and programmed line settings.

Motors Operate Without Water
AL2400 linear motors operate with a peak force of 120 N or 240 N (1 N = .2248 lbs.) and the AL2800 series at peak forces up to 9000 N, without liquid cooling. The motors have minimum heat transfer resistance and the same pole spacing so that adjusting drive amplifiers and adapting to a linear encoder or MES system is always the same.
