HiTek Power Debuts PH220 Series Power Supplies HiTek Power Corp. (Santee, CA) introduced its new PH220 Series of 200 W high-voltage power supplies that are housed in a standard 3U-high chassis and are rack-mountable for use in a wide variety of embedded or stand-alone applications. The line-operated power supplies feature a semi-linear, sine-wave topology, exhibiting low noise and high-precision output characteristics for demanding applications in MRI scanners and other systems with multiple PMT devices.
The PH220 Series? first production model is rated for an output voltage of -1,500 Vdc, with a broad range of output voltages from 100 V to higher than 5,000 V possible; either positive or negative output polarity can be factory selected. The power supplies boast full analog remote control capabilities, including voltage and current-mode programming, enable input, and monitor outputs ? with better than 0.01% line, load, stability and noise performance; higher precision is optional. The PH220 units provide system interface via a nine-pin, circular connector, and come standard with an SHV jack high-voltage output connector. Other control and output connector types are available. When fitted with optional front panel controls and metering, the power supplies are suitable for stand-alone bench use. The units measure 19 in x 5.25 in x 12 in, weigh less than 35 lbs, and are designed to meet IEC 601 safety requirements. The new PH220 Series power supplies are priced starting at $2980, and come with a one-year warranty. Availability is stock to eight weeks.
