Water Source Heat Pump Hoses

ChamFlex® water source heat pump hose assemblies and hose kits are flexible, abrasion resistant, custom-manufactured and best of all have a UL-94 VO rated tube compound.

ChamFlex® provides you a hose with a long life of trouble-free service. Our tube compound is tested to and meets UL94 with a VO rating, the highest fire safety standard in the industry. The patented process, which bonds the tube to a stainless steel wire outer braid, minimizes the possibility of the hose assembly kinking during installation.

Chamberlin Rubber Company, Inc. has six hose kit options available to you for easy installtion, or we will custom assemble kits to meet your specifications.

Chamflex® Advantages:

  • Superior abrasion resistant properties from our coated wire braid.
  • The "washer-less" design of the swivel end provides you with ease of installation.
  • Superior water flow capabilities, due to excellent flexibility of the hose, which also minimizes the possibility of kinking.
  • All male pipe threads are shipped with thread sealant already applied (eliminating the need for Teflon tape), capped, and ready for installation.
  • The permanently installed (crimped) end fittings eliminate the possibility of bands or clamps loosening and creating leaks.
  • Plated steel fittings and adapters reduce the possibility of over-torquing, a common problem with brass and other softer metals.

VTS Venturi Scrubber

Venturi Scrubbers reliable design utilizes open pipe liquid introduction, a vertical throat, and a flooded elbow inlet to the cyclonic separator. Open pipes will not plug like high pressure spray nozzles if large particulate enters the recycle system and are able to accommodate a high solids concentration. The VTS Venturi Scrubber can handle the most difficult of scrubbing applications.

VTS Venturi Scrubber

VTS Venturi Scrubber
This reliable design utilizes open pipe liquid introduction, a vertical throat, and a flooded elbow inlet to the cyclonic separator. Open pipes will not plug like high pressure spray nozzles if large particulate enters the recycle system and are able to accommodate a high solids concentration, if required. Since a pool of liquid is present at the bottom, the flooded elbow prevents wear. The VTS Venturi Scrubber can handle the most difficult of scrubbing applications.

  • Open pipe liquid injection - plug resistant
  • Vertical venturi with various throat designs available
  • Flooded elbow - abrasion resistant
  • Traditional or MS cyclonic separator can be used.

How it works:
The dirty gas entering a scrubber is forced at high velocity through a venturi where it collides with scrubbing water. The tiny water droplets capture particles through impaction and diffusion. The dirty water is then removed in a cyclonic separator and discharged into a recycle tank. Some of the liquid is continuously purged to limit the solids concentration and allow recirculation back to the venturi section.

The design of the scrubber must be carefully considered to ensure proper operation. At FKI, we utilize numerous throat, water injection, and separator designs to ensure that the scrubber you install is best suited for your process requirements. Our throat design options include fixed or adjustable, single or multiple blades, and rod decks. Water can be injected via spray nozzles, open tangential entry pipes or splash plates, when required. Flooded elbow inlets can be provided to minimize wear. We offer our high velocity, compact MS Series cyclonic separator as well as a large diameter / low pressure drop collector for droplet removal.

Performance can be guaranteed based upon accurate operating conditions and aerodynamic particle size data. Whatever your application requires, FKI can provide.

    Available Scrubber Features:
  • Vertical or horizontal gas entry
  • Various throat and water injection designs
  • Integral or external recirculation tanks
  • Compact MS series cyclonic separator design
  • High temperature quench section
  • Combination particulate collection and gas absorption
  • High solids concentration separator design
  • Package systems complete with tanks, pumps, instrumentation, piping, fans, stack and controls
  • Carbon steel, stainless, nickel alloys, or FRP construction
  • High pressure design (ASME Code stamp available)
  • Performance warranty

Taconic International selects VICOTE® Coatings For Demanding Food Cooking and Processing Belt Application

Taconic International, pioneered the manufacture of PTFE coated woven glass fibre fabrics and other high-temperature/non-stick materials and is a leading supplier to the food processing industry. They needed a better performing belt with improved resistance to grease and oils, and enhanced wear and abrasion properties to increase conveyer belt life, to reduce both downtime and maintenance costs for their customers. By incorporating VICOTE Coatings dispersions as a key element in the new Tacmaster product range for food processing conveyor belts they were able to increase the belt's life by up to 40% satisfying their customers demand for reduced downtime and maintenance costs.

Taconic uses VICOTE Coatings in its range of Tacmaster food processing belts that are produced in master rolls and converted to required conveyor belt dimensions. These specially coated conveyor belts are used in aggressive food cooking environments where excellent wear, release and mechanical properties, and excellent temperature performance are required, such as in the pre-cooking of bacon, chicken, burgers, tortilla, pizza crusts and eggs.

Taconic found that by adding VICOTE Coatings dispersions to their existing Fluoropolymer system and coating and curing the woven glass fibre belts with the resulting mixture translated into a belting product that offers an improved service life for the food processing industry of at least four times that of the standard belt.

"By using VICOTE Coatings dispersions in our new food conveyor belts, we are able to provide our customers around the world, with increased wear and abrasion resistance, improved cut-through resistance, increased puncture and impact resistance as well as non-stick properties," said Ian Molyneux, General Manager, IPD Europe, Taconic Industrial Products Division.

Working with Victrex, Taconic created a new customized coating system based on VICOTE Coatings providing a unique combination of performance properties including wear and abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, chemical resistance for exposure to oils and grease, high temperature performance, continuous temperature resistance up to 260°C (500°F), and revolutionize the way food belts are manufactured.
