Permabond line of structural acrylics was developed for demanding applications that require high tensile, shear and peel strength as well as maximum shock and impact resistance.
Permabond structural acrylics offer fast fixture and cure at room temperature providing a solution to the continuous demands for increased line speeds while decreasing the manufacturing costs that are associated with heat curing.
Permabond structural acrylics are suitable for bonding a wide variety of substrates offering great material selection. Materials such as metals, glass and composites are easily bonded with Permabond structural acrylics.
Permabond two part structural acrylics are available in two categories, no-mix and bead on bead; neither category requires mixing. For the no-mix products the adhesive is applied to one substrate and the activator is applied to the other. When the substrates are mated the cure will be initiated. This system is ideal for close fitting parts and where extended open time is required. For the bead on bead products, a bead on one part is directly applied over the other. When the substrates are mated sufficient mixing takes place to initiate the cure.
Permabond structural adhesives are supported by a team of sales, customer service and technical professionals. This team will assist you in selecting the proper adhesive for you application or develop a product to meet your application's requirements. The benefits of using Permabond Structural Acrylic adhesives include:
- Room Temperature Cure - eliminates ovens and other equipment.
- Rapid Cure - increases daily output to reduce production costs.
- Non-flammable and Solvent-free - provides a safe and comfortable work environment.
- Versatile - suitable for bonding a wide variety of substrates to increase design freedom.
- Technical Support - application specialists available for assistance with joint design, adhesive selection and production process.

Henkel Corporation has expanded its line of Loctite® Structural Adhesives to include approximately 50 products in a range of technologies. Loctite® Structural Adhesives are designed to provide tough, durable bonds on a variety of substrates and to deliver stronger, tougher, more reliable bonds than traditional fasteners or welding.
All five Loctite® Structural Adhesive technologies distribute stresses evenly over the joint area and deliver a stronger, more durable assembly. Structural adhesives eliminate or reduce costly mechanical fasteners or welds, and minimize the cost and weight of the final assembly. Adhesives will not detract from the aesthetics of the end product, and offer excellent resistance in severe operating environments. Application and curing can be easily automated, speeding production and reducing labor costs. These materials fill large gaps between parts and are capable of bonding dissimilar materials such as metals to plastics.
Designed for metal bonding, magnet bonding, multiple surface bonding and plastic/composite bonding, Loctite® Structural Adhesives are available in a range of formulations including one-part epoxies, two-part epoxies, acrylics, and polyurethanes.
Loctite® Structural Adhesives are available in easy-to-use packages for hand-held, manual and automated applications. Loctite® also offers a full-line of high quality dispensing equipment. Loctite® brand Structural Adhesives are rewriting the Laws of Structural Engagement™.

Henkel Corporation
Three New Loctite® Adhesives for Magnet Bonding
To make magnet bonding faster, stronger and more reliable, Henkel has introduced three new Loctite® adhesives ideal for bonding ferrite, neodymium/iron, and alnico magnets used in electric motors, speakers, small engines, computer storage devices, power hand tools and other devices.
Magnets in today's electric motors are almost exclusively assembled using adhesives, which produce higher quality joints at lower costs than mechanical fasteners. To make magnet bonding faster, stronger and more reliable, Henkel has introduced three new Loctite® adhesives ideal for bonding ferrite, neodymium/iron, and alnico magnets used in electric motors, speakers, small engines, computer storage devices, power hand tools and other devices.
All three new products offer faster fixturing, higher temperature resistance, greater impact and shear strength, improved moisture resistance, easier processing, and extended shelf lives. All formulations are acid-free and non-corrosive.
Loctite® 331™ Structural Adhesive is a toughened, acid-free, two-step acrylic that fixtures in just 20 seconds and develops full strength in 30 minutes. This high temperature formulation is activator cured and ideal for bonding close-fitting magnets and metals of all sizes. Capable of filling small to medium gaps, this product can be used in a range of production volumes.
Loctite® 3060™ Structural Adhesive is a toughened, acid-free, two-component, external-mix acrylic that is ideal for filling large gaps. Two cascading adhesive streams automatically mix together, eliminating the need for static mixers or activators. Loctite® 3060™ Structural Adhesive offers fast fixture speeds with high temperature resistance, is ideal for use on medium to large magnets, and works well in medium to high volume production environments.
Loctite® E-220IC™ Hysol® Epoxy Adhesive is a toughened, acid-free, one-component epoxy designed for induction cure operations. Loctite® E-220IC™ Hysol® Epoxy Adhesive offers ultra-fast fixture speeds, high gap-filling capability, exceptional strengths, and excellent temperature resistance. The product is ideal for use on medium to large magnets and works well in any production volume.

Hernon Manufacturing, Inc.
ReAct™ 784 adhesive for hard-to-bond plastics
Bonds a wide-variety of substrates including PVC, ABS, and polycarbonate
Convenient two-component, no-mix system for rapid production applications
More >>
Hernon has taken the excellent bond strength of Fusionbond™ structural adhesive and merged it with the simplicity of the ReAct™ two-component, no-mix curing system to create ReAct™ 784. ReAct™ 784 is a structural adhesive designed for a wide variety of substrates with strong bond strength and rapid fixture rates. The two-component, no-mix system allows controlled assembly timing ideal for production and repair applications.
ReAct™ 784 is designed for bonding a wide-variety of substrates including steel, aluminum, phenolic, PVC, ABS, polycarbonate, and glass. Shear strength ranges from 400 to more than 4800 PSI on a various substrates. ReAct™ demonstrates good resistance to moisture as well chemicals such as motor oil, gasoline, and water/glycol. Temperature resistance is up to 135° Celsius (275° Fahrenheit).
ReAct™ 784 uses EF™ Activator 15 to create a simple two-component, no-mix bonding system. The operator applies EF™ Activator 15 to one bonding surface and the ReAct™ 784 to the opposite surface. The parts can then be mated instantly. As needed, the EF™ Activator 15 can be applied up to two hours prior to bonding the substrates. This unique system eliminates the need for mixing systems, curing equipment, inaccurate mix ratios, or wasted adhesive.
