Standard Profile

The standard counterflow air stripper is designed for flows from 0–910 m³/hr (0–4000 gpm). It can remove volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds including, but not limited to, chlorinated hydrocarbons, BETX, MTBE and others. It has the lowest initial cost and operating cost of any air stripping design.

Depending on the quantity of organics stripped from the water, an integral air treatment system can be provided using our technology with vapor phase carbon, thermal/catalytic oxidizers, or other equipment for removal of the VOCs from the air.

Radon Removal Aerators

With proper adjustment of gas and liquid rates, our aerators are used for stripping radon from groundwater. Often used for well water treatment, the aeration system is capable of high efficiency removal resulting in virtually no detectable levels in the treated water.

Sizes up to 455 m³/hr (2000 gpm) can be provided as shop fabricated single modules.

Jet Venturi scrubbers are particularly suited to gas flows which have a high turndown requirement. That is, where the gas flow varies. Since the water is pumped under pressure into the system with a high flow, variations in gas flow have very little impact on performance.

Shop capacity up to 102,000 m³/hr (60,000 cfm).

Jet Venturi scrubbers are particularly suited for cases where high concentrations of chemicals are present in the gas.

Packed tower scrubbers provide the highest contact and greatest gas absorption capacity. By increasing the contact bed depth, higher and higher efficiencies can be achieved.

Towers are available in counterflow design for the greatest efficiency or crossflow design where head room is limited.

Shop fabricated up to 105,000 m³/hr (61,000 cfm). Larger sizes are field erected.

Venturi scrubbers are used for applications involving either particulate removal from air or vent gases – or for both simultaneous dust and gas removal.

The open and co-current designs can handle insoluble solids without difficulty. Standard shop designs can handle flows up to 136,000 m³/hr (80,000 cfm). Field erected units can handle even larger flows.

Complete systems are available including auxiliary components such as pumps, fans, and controls.

Impingement tray scrubbers are often used when a gas absorption efficiency greater than that of a Venturi scrubber and some particulate collection are required. This type of scrubber can handle slurry solutions such as lime.

Standard shop designs can handle capacities up to 102,000 m³/hr (60,000 cfm).

Complete systems are available including auxiliary components such as pumps, fans, and control.

Sulfur dioxide can be removed from flue gas using lime or limestone in custom design spray tower absorbers. Using a field erected design, there is no limit on the size capacity.
