OPTION 1: ENHANCE CURRENT PRODUCT . . . The first type of customization involves enhancing a current AAT product. Starting with simple cosmetic items like custom logos and keypads, up to implementing additional components like RAID double hard disk configurations or dual processors, AAT can quickly assess the enhancement and integrate any necessary design changes. From small embedded "brick" computers running Windows CE.net to large 21" UXGA systems, simple enhancements to existing products can solve your problems.
OPTION 2: COMPLETE PRODUCT DESIGN . . . If your application requires hardware outside of our current offering, we would apply 3D Process to discover, design and deliver the right product that fits your specifications from the ground up. Any place a touchscreen computer system is required, we can create the best solution. Also, because this is a custom designed system we can be sure to get the appropriate safety designations and maintain a consistent supply of product components.
OUR "3D" PROCESS . . . DISCOVERY - Before we even think about computers, our product design team would assess the needs of your application through utilizing tools that help guide you along the process of finding the specific uses of the system and then matching your desired specifications to system capabilities. DESIGN - Once we have an understanding of your needs, we would then begin designing a system; either enhancing a current product or developing a new product all together. We then prepare a quote consisting of a Development Fee and a per system price. The design phase is an interactive process between AAT and our customers resulting in a prototype system within a matter of weeks. DELIVERY - Once that prototype is approved we begin delivery while also assessing additional enhancement opportunities that might present themselves. Somewhere between tens and thousands, Ann Arbor Technologies can provide the perfect quantity solution for custom systems. Once we design a system, we specialize in smaller batch production runs that can accommodate delivery of 1 per month or 100 per month. Manufacturing flexibility is the key.
