Overview

Cutler-Hammer Lighting Contactors from Eaton's electrical business are designed to provide a safe, convenient means for local or remote switching of tungsten (incandescent filament) or ballast (fluorescent and mercury arc) lamp loads. They are also suitable for other loads such as low pressure and high-pressure sodium lamp loads and other non-motor (resistive) loads.

They are not recommended for most sign flashing loads. These lighting contactors are designed to withstand the large initial inrush currents of tungsten lamp loads without contact welding. They are fully rated and do not require derating.

  • Ballast Lamps - Fluorescent, Mercury Vapor, Metal Halide Sodium Vapor, Quartz - 600V maximum.
  • Filament Lamps - Incandescent, Infrared, Heating - 480V maximum, line to line; 277V maximum line to neutral.
  • Resistance Heating - Radiant and convection heating, furnaces and ovens.

C30CN Electrically and Mechanically Held Contactors
The Enclosed C30CN (ECC) is available with an electrically or mechanically held contactor in a non-combination unit. The C30CN can be configured with up to 12 poles (30A maximum per pole). Power poles are available in single or double pole designs and can be mounted to provide either normally open or normally closed operation with a maximum of 12 NO poles or 8 NC and 4 NO poles. Each pole is capable of accepting up to 8 AWG wire. Available in 2- or 3-wire control and in a wide range of enclosure types.

CN35 Electrically Held Contactors
Cutler-Hammer® Type CN35 Electrically Held Lighting Contactors from Eaton's electrical business are designed to handle the switching of tungsten (incandescent) or ballast (fluorescent and mercury arc) lamp loads as well as other non-motor (resistive) loads. The Enclosed CN32 (ECL03, ECL12 and ECL14) is available in non-combination and combination styles. Available in 2- or 3-wire control and in a wide range of enclosure types.

A202 Magnetically Latched Contactors
The Cutler-Hammer Enclosed A202 (ECL04, ECL13, and ECL15) is available in non-combiantion and combination styles. A permanent magnet is built into the contactor structure that will maintain the contactor in its energized state indefinitely without using control power. When energized, a DC current is applied to the latch coil, producing a magnetic field that reinforces the polarity of the permanent magnet, pulling in the contactor. The current to the coil is disconnected by the coil clearing interlock. In order to drop out the contactor, it is necessary to apply a field through the STOP coil in the reverse direction to the permanent magnet. This momentarily cancels the magnetic attraction and the contactor drops out. Available in 2- or 3-wire control and in a wide range of enclosure types.

Accelerated UV Exposure Simulator

Materials Testing 16S is a UV light source used to conduct an accelerated UV test. The 16S Solar Simulator accurately simulates the suns UV spectrum and provides the capability to see how materials will react to years worth of UV exposure in only a few days.

Accelerated UV Exposure Simulator

Description:

UV exposure at the UVB 280 - 320 nm and UVA 320 - 400 nm range is the ultraviolet light that causes degradation of materials. The 16S can output either UVA only or UVA + UVB. Using a 3cm spot output the 16S can simulate 1 years worth of UV in only 7 days. With a 1 cm spot output the 16S can simulate 1 years worth of UV in 24 hours.

The intensity of the 16S's output can be controlled by adjustment knobs on each port and from the power supply. Full intensity ranges from 500 to 700 J/m2 per minute but the intensity can be tuned down to 1 J/m2 per minute. Solar Light solar simulators are used in testing laboratories globally and meet the latest ASTM, COLIPA, JCIA, and FDA spectral irradiance standards.

The 16S accurately replicate the suns UV. The 16S meets the latest standards for laboratory light sources by ASTM including G151 and G155 standards.

In the Ultraviolet configuration, the visible and infrared light is eliminated from its output. UV levels 20-30 times stronger than tropical sun can be produced without the thermal component associated with these high levels light. This allows testing to be accomplished without damaging the sample due to heat.

New Smart Test Lamp For UV, UV/IR and IR Flame Detectors

Simplifies Field Maintenance In Combustible Gas Prone Locations

Designed for Class I, Div 1 & 2, Groups C & D Hazardous Areas

Featuring an explosion-proof design, an intelligent built-in microcontroller and rechargeable batteries that provide 45-minutes of testing on a single charge, the new TL105 Test Lamp for General Monitors' UV, UV/IR and IR Flame Detectors allows routine maintenance to be performed safely in hazardous areas.

The TL105 Test Lamp is designed for Class I, Div 1 and 2, Groups C and D hazardous areas where field technicians must routinely verify flame detector operational capability. With its explosion-proof cast aluminum housing, the TL105 features ATEX, CSA and CE Marking approvals for use in hazardous areas, such as oil/gas production, refining, pipeline and distribution applications, as well as in chemical refining plants, aircraft assembly and maintenance hangars, automotive assembly plants and warehouse or distribution operations.

The TL105 Test Lamp is a battery operated, rechargeable lamp. The test lamp provides a high-energy, broadband radiation source that emits sufficient energy in both the UV and IR spectra to activate UV or IR flame detectors. To simulate a fire, the test lamp automatically flashes at various selectable rates chosen with a rotary switch. When the flashing pattern for a specific type of flame detector is selected, the TL105 Test Lamp triggers the flame detector's alarm or test mode.

The TL105's integral housing features a full handle for comfortable grip. A charge status indicator on the lamp informs field technicians when the instrument is fully charged or recharging is necessary. The microcontroller prevents operation when the battery charge is low to ensure that all testing procedures are completed satisfactorily. The TL105's rugged design allows it to be used in extreme environments where temperatures may range from 5 to 122°F (-15 to +50°C) and relative humidity span 0 to 90%.

FL4000 Multi-Spectral IR Flame Detector

The advanced FL4000 Detector combines MSIR flame sensing with Neural Network Technology (NNT) to operate at a long range with a wide field-of-view and at high accuracy for superior false alarm immunity. The FL4000 reliably discriminates between actual flames and nuisance false alarm sources, such as arc welding or hot objects, with its Neural Network Technology. Until recently, plant engineers with chronic false alarm problems have had to choose between accepting the headache and cost of false alarms, changing their process, or installing excessively redundant flame detection systems at a higher cost. The advanced FL4000 eliminates these problems, providing reliable and dependable flame detection.

FL3100 Series Flame Detectors

The versatile FL3100 Flame Detector Series is designed for a wide variety of flame detection applications. This flame detector series rapidly and accurately senses unwanted fires, issuing alarm outputs directly from the detector, providing reliable and secure protection of people, equipment and facilities. Six different interchangeable FL3100 Series models are available featuring UV, UV/IR or IR sensors. Highly accurate, the FL3100 Series is designed with built-in flicker-discrimination circuitry and self-checking continuous optical path monitoring (COPM).
