CNC Bus Bar Machine

Foremost Machinery and Jinfangyuan CNC Machine announce the introduction of a CNC Punching & Cropping Bus Bar machine to the North American market

CNC Bus Bar Machine

Foremost Machinery has been importing and distributing fabricating equipment to North America for over 35 years. In 2003, Jinfangyuan produced and sold 380 CNC turret punching machines and shears in Asia.

The MCZ series CNC machine is composed of two sections, bus punching unit and bending unit. It is developed by combining features of press brake and punching machines for copper buss bar production. The punching unit can do punching, channeling, edging, cornering, and shearing. It is equipped with six punching stations. The punching unit adopts the advanced CNC and drive system, with field and background programming, and graphic simulation functions.

The bending unit can perform horizontal, vertical, and U bending. The bending unit adopts a unique electronic cavity die. The bending angle is measured and bending error compensated automatically with the measurement accuracy within ±°0.10 and bending accuracy within ±0.30°. The bending unit adopts the high level industrial control computer with color graphic simulation and automatic angle compensation for precise control of backguage.

The punching and bending units both utilize a hydraulic main drive. The two machines adopt different hydraulic and CNC systems, which can either be combined or controlled separately to meet different customer requirements.

The machine features high flexibility, adaptable to different products. It is now widely used in over thirty Asian facilities for modern bus bar processing.

Hunton Punch and Die Grinder

Hunton Vertical Grinders have been available for fifteen years. Hunton precision vertical grinders are ideal for sharpening all popular CNC tooling, including Amada, Behrens, Finn Power, Murata-Wiedemann, Raskin, Rhodes, Strippit and Trumpf. Hunton Grinders are an excellent way to keep your turret punch tooling sharp while reducing cost and inventory.

The grinder is designed to allow you to sharpen your punches and dies right at the workplace quickly and easily. Regular sharpening of your tools will extend the life of your punch and die. Regular sharpening will also improve the quality of your work piece. The grinder has a convenient hand wheel that is graduated in .001" increments provides fine feed for an excellent finish.

The BG790S comes standard in a coolant tank; this allows you to sharpen your tooling and help to keep you from damaging your tooling due to excessive heat build-up during the grinding process. There is an adjustable nozzle for coolant flow and location.

The BG790S comes with two chucks that are side by side on the base of the machine. On the right hand side is a 6-3/4" magnetic chuck for grinding your dies. On the left hand side is the shear grind / quick change chuck. This chuck gives you the versatility to do flat top grinding or to put up to a ten degree rooftop shear on your punches. There two "zero angle" pins to do the flat top grinding. These pins can be removed to allow the rooftop shearing. There is a scale on the front of the chuck that tells you what degree of a pitch you are putting onto your punch. This chuck can also be used with our shear jig adaptor kits. The adaptor kit allows you to use the quick chang feature of the chuck. To use this feature simply remove the vee block from the top of the shear grind chuck. You don't have to disassemble the punches, simply put the spring pack and punch into the adaptor ring, tighten a set screw and put the ring in the shear grind chuck and grind. Kits are available for certain types of tooling.

Perforating Process

Perforating, the process of punching holes in a given material, requires presses capable of generating a great enough penetrable force and tooling made specifically to withstand the pressure of repetitious blows yet versatile enough to produce a number of desired patterns.

While different machines can produce holes (ex. turret presses, CNC presses, etc.), full-width perforating presses are designed specifically to quickly and accurately produce the largest number of holes per hit - making them the most efficient and therefore the most economical in producing perforated material.

In addition to being able to produce as many as 300,000 holes per minute, perforating presses can be programmed to leave areas blank, vary spacing of holes, create margins, and place locator holes - all with extremely tight tolerances. These varying capabilities not only allow for a multitude of designs to be produced, but can eliminate subsequent production processes. With their speed, accuracy, and versatility, full-width perforating presses provide considerable cost savings.

Once equipped with the tool to make the desired pattern, programmed for the correct distance between holes, panels, and/or parts, and set with the specified material, the perforating process is ready to begin. Before it reaches this point, however, much work is performed and many decisions are made. None are more important than those that result in the specifications of the product because they determine production requirements and directly affect the quality, cost, and delivery.

About Diamond Manufacturing:

When it comes to perforated metal, plastic, and other materials, Diamond Manufacturing has the experience and the resources to satisfy practically every requirement. Since 1915, Diamond Manufacturing has been providing original equipment manufacturers (OEM's), job shops, and architectural firms with quality perforated material.
