Two-Stage Air Compressors

FLSmidth manufactures two-stage air compressors with capacities to 2000 cfm and pressures to 125 psig. These units' sliding-vane technology and simplicity of design position them perfectly in situations where pumping conditions are difficult — in cement mills, foundries, plywood plants, paper mills, etc., and in dense-phase conveying applications.

Improved Bearing Design

Ful-Vane Compressors are equipped with a fixed bearing at the coupling end of the shaft, and a floating bearing at the closed end. The fixed bearing allows the compressor shaft to carry greater horsepower side-loading when a V-belt drive arrangement is used. Also, this bearing combination allows for thermal expansion of the rotor, yet maintains clearances during operation for high efficiency.

New Blade Material

Our new B-3000 blade material is lighter, stronger, longer-wearing and non-hygroscopic. As a result, these vanes last longer and save you money on parts and downtime.

Heavy-Duty Mechanical Shaft Seal

Packing is the standard seal arrangement on Ful-Vane air compressors. However, mechanical seal options are also available. Mechanical seals provide a better seal, last longer in service, reducing downtime and saving you valuable maintenance dollars

Aerzen VMX-screw compressors with oil injection are designed for intake flow volumes from 70 up to 3180 m³/h at driving speeds of 50 resp. 60 Hz and an overpressure – single-stage – up to 13 bar (higher pressures or admission pressure operation upon request).

The drive is effected via V-belt resp. toothed belt or directly via a flexible coupling from the driving motor to the male rotor of the air end. Drive by electric motors or internal combustion engines. All stages are suitable for frequency converter-operation (standard).

VMX screw compressors are supplied as components to manufacturers of mobile and of stationary air compressor plants who produce themselves the accessories or plant components- as oil coolers, oil separators, base frames, etc. – and carry out the final completion of the whole plant unit.
