Copper Alloys

Copper alloys are so widely used, many in complex applications, that there are over 370 commercial copper and copper alloy grades. The Copper family includes coppers, high-copper alloys, brasses, leaded brasses, bronzes, aluminum bronzes, silicon bronzes, copper nickels, and nickel silvers.

Copper alloys provide good thermal and electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, ease of forming, ease of joining, and color, but most have relatively low strength-to-weight ratios and low strengths at elevated temperatures.

All Metals & Forge provides copper in all mill forms including rod, plate, strip, sheet, tube shapes, and wire. Click here to view the complete list of alloys...

Copper Flash Coated Condenser Tubing

Markin's Copper Flash tubing is manufactured by electroplating an in-process thin coating of Copper to the outside diameter of their low carbon, single wall, welded steel tubing. The material is then submerged in a rust inhibitor before packaging and shipping.

It is commonly used in refrigeration and heat transfer applications. Copper Flash tubing is available in outside diameters ranging from 3/16" to 1/2" wall thickness ranging from .025" to .035". It is available in coil or cut to length.

One attribute of Markin's Copper Flash coated steel tubing is its effectivity when brazing. Big players in the refrigeration industry utilize Markin's Copper Flash for refrigeration condensers.

Copper/Brass Radiator Core Bake Oven

International Thermal Systems' (ITS) Batch and Conveyorized Core Bake ovens deliver the highest volume airflow in the market resulting in exceptional temperature uniformity and fast ramp-up to temperature. Cores can be soldered using either leaded or un-leaded solder.

ITS' Copper/Brass Core Bake ovens provide a high level of corrosion resistance and exceptional long life. 316 stainless steel is used for interior and exterior surfaces to allow processing of acid based flux.

Radiator cores can be squared with ITS' Batch ovens when ordering an automated cart. The core is squared when the flux is molten and the core is in a condition that allows it to be manipulated.

Flat or serpentine fins, multi rows of tubes, staggered and slanted tubes, and locomotive cores can be processed on ITS' Core Bake ovens. Provide us with your toughest application. You'll find no one in the industry that has the knowledge and experience they've gained from over 30 years in the thermal processing industry.
