About Thermal Circuits:

Thermal Circuits Inc. is a manufacturer of surface heaters, air heaters, molded heaters, heater assemblies, and infrared panel emitters. We service a wide variety of markets and geographic areas and, through continuous quality improvement, strive to maintain world-class leadership in all aspects of our business.

Firsts" from Thermal Circuits continued during the 1970's and 1980's. We designed, prototyped and produced heaters and assemblies for the first etched foil-heated cafeteria food service stations, infant incubators, hospital warming cabinets, automobile side-view mirrors, kitchen electrics(mini-skillets, deep-fat fryers), and personal care appliances(mist hair setters, styling wands).

This growth prompted the construction in 1996 of a single-storied, 52,000 square foot building which is Thermal Circuits' new home. Still in Salem, the company is owned by its corporate partners and is the anchor company in a newly-developed industrial park. The new facility is state-of-the-art and second to none.

RBC Bearings - The Patented Cylindrical Roller Cam Follower
RBC Bearings
The Patented Cylindrical Roller Cam Follower

RBC Roller® double row cylindrical roller cam followers represent the most effective cam follower technology available. They are superior to needle roller cam followers in every way — lubed for life, higher load capacity, higher speed rating, and longer service life.

The Patented Cylindrical Roller Cam Follower

RBC Roller Cam Follower - The Superior Alternative

RBC cam followers are available in sizes from 1" in roller diameter — an industry exclusive.

Invented by RBC to solve some of the toughest machine and product control guidance challenges.

Double row of cylindrical rollers delivers tremendous operating advantages in an economical package.

Repair and replace cycle is greatly reduced — RBC Roller cam followers operate up to 5 times longer.

Lubricated for life — No more need for periodic relubrication or expensive automatic lubrication systems.

Operate at much higher rotary speeds — RBC Roller cam followers operate at speeds up to 2 times higher.

Increase load carrying capacity without increasing cam follower size — Up to double the dynamic load rating.

Unique contacting lip seals provide positive protection against contamination while keeping grease inside.

Specialty configurations (i.e., double outer ring) and corrosion resistance (thin, dense chrome plating) available.

Precisely Guided Cylindrical Rollers

The use of precisely guided rollers dramatically improves all aspects of cylindrical roller cam follower performance. The dynamic load capacity, maximum running speed, and fatigue life are greatly enhanced. See the charts below for specific data regarding these improvements. Lower performance needle roller cam followers rely on rolling elements that have reduced load capacity. They are also subject to more rolling resistance, and generate higher operating temperatures. These unfavorable operating characteristics are the result of comparatively small roller diameter (reduced load capacity) and poor roller guidance, resulting in skewing (excessive frictional heat and reduced fatigue life).

The Best Seals in the Business

Advanced RBC Roller sealing technology provides long-term protection for the rolling element system. Without effective sealing, even the performance of RBC's precision roller guidance and cylindrical roller technology would be diminished. The contact lip seals provide sealing effectiveness for the cam follower's full operating life. By keeping grease inside the cam follower and contaminants away from the rolling elements, RBC Roller contact lip seals provide a "lubed for life" product.

Watlow - UNIVERSAL SOLVENT Circulation Heater
Watlow
UNIVERSAL SOLVENT Circulation Heater

The UNIVERSAL SOLVENT circulation heater provides a safe and efficient means of heating low flash point solvents.

UNIVERSAL SOLVENT Circulation Heater

Watlow's new UNIVERSAL SOLVENT circulation heater consists of a cylindrical-shaped cast part with helical coiled tubes and formed tubular heating elements cast-in.Three Type J thermocouples sense the solvent inlet, solvent outlet and casting core temperatures. The UNIVERSAL SOLVENT circulation heater operates at near 100 percent efficiency while reducing the risk of solvent contamination.

The UNIVERSAL SOLVENT circulation heater provides a safe and efficient means of heating low flash point solvents. Both the heating elements and the solvent tube are cast into the aluminum. The heating elements provide heat to the aluminum mass and the mass transfers this heat to the tube carrying the solvent. The casting can also be surrounded by insulation to minimize heat loss and keep equipment cabinet temperatures low.

A secondary chilled water tube is also cast-in.This tube quickly cools the casting for routine maintenance or lowers the solvent below the flash point.

Safety features of Watlow's UNIVERSAL SOLVENT circulation heater include a NEMA 7 rated (explosion proof) enclosure box covering the electrical connections and a snap-action over temperature protection switch to provide safe shut down. The casting body is Teflon® coated to protect the aluminum in case of accidental contact with solvents.

The UNIVERSAL SOLVENT circulation heater is appropriate for numerous applications and may be customized to meet specific customer needs. For additional sizes or options, please contact Watlow Batavia.

Features and Benefits:

Fluid path constructed independent from heater sheath • Solvent is never in contact with heater element • Indirect heating eliminates hot spots caused by poor flow or start up conditions

Cast aluminum construction • Accurate process temperature control • Rugged and durable • Higher reliability due to less components and nonwelded construction • Longer heater life

316 SS passivated and electropolished solvent tube • Provides material compatibility with most semiconductor solvents • Ensures contamination resistant surface for heated solvent • Seamless tubing assures higher reliability and cleanliness

Electrical enclosure constructed for hazardous environments • Reduces risk of accidental combustion of solvent vapors Operates to 1500 PSI or greater with appropriate fittings • Economic high pressure operation Self draining construction • Eliminates trapped material that may add contamination to the process • Economic time-saving operation

Agency ratings • UL®/CSA recognized heater elements • NEMA 7 Class 1 Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D electrical enclosure

Applications: Semiconductor wet process OEMs • Wafer cleaning equipment (wet benches) • Post etch wet strip and photoresist removal applications • Heating of low flash point solvents such as EKC, ACT and NMP
