Micron Meter's MM50 Programmable Smart Panel Meter is like getting up to 6 meters at the price of one. Display DC Voltage, current, strain or process signals. Choose from 6 thermocouples, 2 RTD types, AC (true RMS) voltage and current or low level load cells. The application is up to you. Front panel programming provides push button selectability. Input signals may be displayed as voltage or current, or scaled five full digits from 0 to 99,999 to read directly in engineering units such as ft./lbs, rpm, psi, etc. No calibration equipment is required when changing ranges; all ranges are digitally pre-calibrated at the factory. Temperature scales (Celsius or Fahrenheit) are selectable from the front panel. The MM50 has fast control response ( 60 readings/sec), true peak reading capability, and an analog output that accurately tracks the signal input. It has an adaptive digital filter that automatically selects the best time constant for minimum noise, and yet responds rapidly to an actual change in signal level. Isolated 5,10, or 24 Vdc outputs are available to power strain gages and transmitters, eliminating the need for an external power supply. The setpoints for the two alarm indicators are also front panel programmable, and optional transistors or dual 10 Amp relays can be added to provide control outputs. These outputs can be set to operate above or below the setpoint, in a latched or nonlatching mode. Analog outputs are available to drive chart recorders, remote displays or to transmit to a central control room. You can even add an RS232 or RS485 interface and communicate directly with PLC's or computers. Baud rates can be set from 300 to 19,200. We supply the software to make meter setup fast and easy. Three state, parallel BCD outputs are also available. Visit MICRON METERS for complete specifications and applications or Call 800.831.2522 or 770.923.2522

The M300 Series 1/8 DIN has limitless possibilities in measuring AC and DC applications. Custom sealing and M100 transducer options allow for a wide variety of applications. Units are UL recognized.
AC Inputs:
Both AC Voltage and Current circuits are average sensing RMS calibrated. The input signal is transformed to a low level of AC. The transformer secondary Voltage is fed to a precision active rectifier, the resulting DC signal is presented to a analog to digital A/D. The A/D converter use's the dual converter slope integration method o conversion, The resulting digital information is used to drive the LED display.
DC Inputs:
Dc Voltage and Current inputs are fed into high stability ranging components. The ranging components reduce the input signal to a (2) Volt level. If the input is below (2) Volts an amplifier is employed to derive (2) Volts. The (2) Volt signal is then presented to the A/D converter which provides the digital information to drive the LED display.
Frequency Inputs:
A Frequency to Voltage F/V converter is used to convert th input signal to a DC signal. The resulting DC signal is fed in to the A/D converter and the same process as in the AC and DC circuits described above takes place.
The digital panel meter range, known as the M300 series is primarily designed for use in the power industry, but offers a wide range of both AC and DC input parameters. The applications are limitless.
Essentially there are 3 main product types:
*AC Volts, Amps, Milliamps.
*DC Volts, Amps, Milliamps, Millvolts.
*Frequency.
With the combination of a mA input M300-AD1 and the M100 series Power Transducers, parameters such as kW, kVAr, etc. Can be measured and displayed.
Customer adjustment of both "ZERO" and "SPAN" is permissible via potentiometers, accessible from the rear of the product.
The meters are 3½ digit with a digit size of 14.2mm (0.56") high, 7 segment matched red LED's allow viewing from a wide range of angles and distance.

The Laureate 6-Digit Serial Input Digital Panel Meter is a UL-listed, 1/8 DIN remote display which accepts RS-232 or RS-485 data from computers, programmable controllers or instruments to provide a digital readout from -999,999 to +999,999. Equipped with appropriate option boards, it can also provide remote alarm and analog output capabilities based on either the received data or ASCII commands. The display consists of six 14.2 mm (.56") high LED digits, available in red or green. The 1/8 DIN case is environmentally sealed to NEMA-4X from the front when panel mounted. Up to 32 Laureate serial input meters can be connected in parallel to a single RS-485 or Modbus data line in multipoint fashion and be addressed from a single data port, thereby minimizing wiring. Each unit will only display the value transmitted for its unique address. The recognition character preceding the address is programmable. The data rate is selectable from 300 to 19,200 bps. The serial input meter can be set up to display any of the four parameters that can be transmitted in sequence by a Laureate counter. This allows the counter to be augmented by up to three slave displays to show all four parameters. For example, if a Laureate batch controller is set up to display batch total, three slave displays can show rate, peak rate, and either grand total or number of batches. A Laureate serial input meter can be equipped with an optional isolated analog output board with 0-10 V and 0-20 mA outputs to serve as a low-cost, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter. Either output can be scaled to the displayed value. With this board, the serial input meter can drive a recorder or serve as a highly accurate, isolated 4-20 mA transmitter. A Laureate serial input meter can also be equipped with a relay output board with dual contact relays or dual opto-isolated AC/DC solid state relays to provide remote alarm and setpoint control capability. The relays can respond to the data values transmitted via RS-232/485, or to any of eight control characters transmitted via RS-232/485. The base price is $170.
