Cleveland Vibrator's Vibratory Screeners come in a wide range of drives that provide screening solutions for finer materials down to one hundred mesh (.0058") and coarser materials up to four inch clear openings. The Cleveland Vibrator Company vibratory screeners are used to separate materials by particle size, scalp (remove) small amounts of oversize material, remove small amounts of fine material, or remove excess liquid from finished products. We can supply single, double, or triple-deck units.
Screeners are available in a variety of styles and sizes, Three of the large styles are normally mounted horizontally and have the same principle of operation as our vibratory feeders. The vibratory screeners are Air-Powered (reciprocating air-cushioned piston) or have Electromechanical drives for medium to heavy-duty applications. Another style is a Gravity Flow design which is down sloped twenty degrees for gravity-assisted product conveyance, utilizing a single rotary electric vibratory drive. Our Twin Motor Sifter has a 3-D motion allowing for greater throughput of difficult to screen materials.
To screen large volumes of fine powders, CVC introduced the HyBrute Screener, a combination of brute force screening with ultrasonic technology.
For small quantities, or sieving of fine powders, we have Round Gyratory Screeners and Laboratory Screeners which can also be equipped with Ultrasonics to aid in screen de-blinding.
The motion of our vibratory screeners promotes the stratification process, which moves the finer materials downward, through the bed of material to the screen surfaces, while moving the coarser material upward, away from the screen surfaces. This action provides precise vibratory screening where high efficiency is required for the end product.
Applications:
- Plastics
- Chemical
- Food

- Mining
- Ceramics
- Clay and Glass
- Metal Working
- Iron and Steel
- Pulp and Paper
Controls:
The Cleveland Vibrator Company offers a wide choice of controls for the operation of both Air and Electric-Powered Vibratory Screeners:
Standard controls for Air-Powered Screeners consist of a quick acting valve, air line filter, pressure regulator gauge, lubricator, and a five-foot-long air hose with pipe fittings.
Standard controls for electromagnetic-powered screeners consist of a transformer-type device which adjusts the intensity of vibration by varying the applied voltage.

Uses for Perforated Material
Knowing how perforated materials are typically used in industrial, architectural, and design applications may help you determine whether or not you have a use for it.
Knowing how perforated materials are typically used in industrial, architectural, and design applications may help you determine whether or not you have a use for it. Assuming there is a use for it, the issue then becomes which pattern to use. While this may be as simple as choosing one that looks a certain way, it can be critical for those applications where the perforated material has to perform a certain way (i.e. attenuate a sound frequency, provide a level of electromagnetic shielding, etc.).
For those applications where a certain appearance is desired, we offer our ability to produce over 2000 patterns in round, square, slot, hexagon, decorative, and 21st century patterns. For those applications where a level of performance is required, in addition to our numerous patterns, we offer literature on tests performed by independent laboratories on some of the most important capabilities of perforated material. CLICK HERE to view the studies available. A synopsis of them are provided under PROPERTIES & ABILITIES. About Diamond Manufacturing: When it comes to perforated metal, plastic, and other materials, Diamond Manufacturing has the experience and the resources to satisfy practically every requirement. New Line of Electromagnetic Flow Meters from FTI
Flow Technology, Inc. (FTI), a leading manufacturer of precision flow measurement instruments, systems and calibrators, today announced the introduction of the Extended Linearity (EL) 2400 Series of electromagnetic flow meters. Available in line sizes from one to four inches, these EHEDG-approved meters represent the state-of-the-art for accurate sanitary flow measurement in pharmaceutical and food & beverage applications.
The latest in a new line of electromagnetic flow meters, the EL 2400 Series creates a unique electromagnetic field profile ensuring accuracy not only in turbulent flow, but also during the transitional and laminar flow regimes. These compact meters provide extended linearity and a wide measurement range of up to 1000:1 without the aid of linearization software. The EL 2400 has a bi-directional flow capability with no moving parts and no pressure drop.
Flow Technology's vice president of marketing, Ralph Duffill, called the EL 2400 Series "a breakthrough for end users seeking a cost-effective, high performance sanitary flow meter." Duffill said, "The EL 2400 Series provides best-in-class features at a price that is significantly lower than competitive electromagnetic meters. It is designed for high accuracy and reliable operation in the most demanding sanitary environments."
The EL 2400 Series electromagnetic flow meters base their operation on the Faraday Principle, by which a conductor crossing a magnetic field generates a potential. The resultant potential is directly proportional to the flow velocity. The meters are manufactured from 304 stainless steel and internally lined with PTFE. They incorporate a sealed electrode and coil assembly that provides immunity to humidity variation.
The EL 2400 Series electromagnetic flow meters can be supplied with either Tri-Clamp or DIN 11851 end connections. The electrodes in the standard unit are AISI 316L, but the meters are also available with electrodes manufactured from other materials such as Hastelloy or titanium according to the chemical compatibility of the liquid.

XFdtd® is a full wave 3D electromagnetic solver based on the Finite Difference Time Domain method. XFdtd leads the industry in solving large and complex projects across a wide range of applications. Unique, true MPI capability allows larger and faster computations than any other solver via the capability of computer clusters. Complicated CAD objects with thousands of parts may be imported into XFdtd and combined and edited using our graphical editor. Applications include microwave, RF, antennas, scattering, biological EM including MRI and handheld devices, photonics, packaging, EMC, and electromagnetic behavior of specialized materials. For biological calculations, choose our XFdtd Bio-Pro option. In conjunction with our biological mesh geometries, XF Bio-Pro is useful for making calculations of the effects of a human body on the performance of antennas and for estimating Specific Absorption Ratio (SAR) levels. XFdtd offers many important and unique capabilities including:
- Fast meshing algorithm
- Mesh preview before calculation
- Precise control of the mesh down to the cell level
- Wide variety of complex electric and magnetic materials including nonlinear and frequency-dependent
- Nonlinear device modeling including both diodes and capacitors
- Anisotropic materials
No other EM software can solve larger problems or solve them faster than XFdtd! XFdtd is the only commercial time domain solver with true MPI capability which allows large problems to utilize the full capability of computer clusters. Our MPI module allows for parallel computations on distributed systems such as Beowulf clusters. In addition to the speed advantages of spreading XFdtd computations over multiple nodes, each node needs only enough memory for its portion of the problem space. Thus, clusters of inexpensive 32-bit machines can handle problems requiring much more than 2 GB of RAM. Of course, setting up a cluster isn't always possible, so we also offer XStream® 3.0, our family of acceleration hardware. XStream dramatically shortens the calculation times of even the most challenging equations. XStream is now based on the NVIDIA FX 5600 GPU with 1.5 GB of accelerated memory. Utilizing the ability of the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) in modern computer graphics cards to stream floating point calculations, XFdtd achieves extremely fast calculation speeds via the XStream hardware option. There are three versions of XStream available: The basic XStream single GPU, the XStream MicroCluster (two GPUs), and the XStream MiniCluster (four GPUs). How fast is XStream? Results depend on the size of the FDTD mesh, but for calculations that fit within the memory constraints of the GPUs (3GB for the MicroCluster and 6 GB for the MiniCluster), calculation times can be 20-40 times faster than a single CPU simulation. When a cluster isn't practical, XStream is a cost effective alternative to speed your computations. New in XFdtd 6.5
- Multiple frequency-specific results (i.e., efficiency, SAR, antenna patterns) from one transient simulation
- Full 64-bit GUI including CAD import and support for Windows Vista®
- Power flow over a plane for reflection/transmission from semi-infinite structures
- Rotating B-field display for MRI calculations
- Improved results for frequency-dependent materials using Cole-Cole parameters
- Periodic boundary conditions with phase shift
- Nonlinear diodes with variable parameters
- Ludwig and axial-ratio polarization
- Independently specify time delay for multiple sources
- Automatically determine and correct meshed geometry objects that are in contact
- Voxel-format object
- Total field and scattered field plane wave for accurate results for both scattering and shielding calculations
