The I-Scan® system is a versatile research and development tool for brake system and friction plate manufacturers.

Reducing brake noise, vibration and harshness are just some of the challenges facing brake design engineers. The I-Scan system enables designers to measure pressure distribution between mating surfaces and provides the diagnostic tools necessary to measure, view and evaluate dynamic forces acting between a brake pad and rotor or brake shoe and drum.

I-Scan is a valuable tool for studying pressure distribution and provides information on the effectiveness of brake pad, piston, rotor and caliper designs. This technology is also helpful in similar applications, such as aircraft, train brake and transmission friction plate design.

Acoustiputty Pads are a quick and easy way to make the back of electrical boxes and other holes or other voids airtight. It is formulated specifically to permanently adhere to Acoustiblok (which few products adhere to). The pads are non-flammable, UL classified, soft and moldable. Excellent in making the required air tight seal required for reduced sound transmission.

About Acoustiblok:

Acoustiblok® is a 1/8 inch thick proprietary viscoelastic polymer material with a high density mineral content, heavy and yet extremely flexible. As sound waves cause the Acoustiblok material to flex, internal friction occurs (isothermal/adiabatic) and the acoustical energy is dissipated into undetectable trace amounts of heat. A one 1/8 inch layer of Acoustiblok in a standard wall will result in more sound reduction than 12 inches of poured concrete.

Spring applied caliper disc brakes function opposite of traditional brakes. Normal brake operation requires active pressure to brake and pressure removed to release. PFS Series requires active minimum pneumatic pressure of 750 psi to release. At a loss of pressure, energy stored in the Belleville spring stack(s) take over to stop or hold the mass.

Ideal for emergency stopping or holding of industrial machinery or mobile off- road vehicles.
