The ETS1000 electronic thermostats are temperature regulating devices specifically designed around rigorous parameters. The Series ETS thermostats integrate a solid state thermistor to an electronic comparator circuit for accurate temperature control. All input and output connections are made via 1/4" male quick connect terminals. The Series ETS are transient protected and provide fail-safe operation if the sensor wires are severed or shorted. They are designed and engineered to exceed 100,000 cycles under full mechanical, electrical and thermal loads.

Typical Applications

While specifically designed to perform reliably in leisure water applications (including either gas or electric heating appliances furnished with spas, swimming pools, jetted tubs and hydrotherapy equipment), the Series ETS electronic thermostats provide accurate temperature control of heater circuits in a wide variety of applications such as potable, hydronic and combination water heaters, in commercial cooking and food service equipment, and in furnaces, boilers and other space and processing heating equipment.

  • Custom thermistor cable lengths and bulb sizes (standard units feature a 48" thermistor cable with a 5/16" O.D. bulb)
  • Virtually unlimited maximum set point capabilities (standard units feature 107° +/- 2°F. maximum set points)
  • Circuit design allows use in 12V, 24V or 120V applications

Ratings and Specifications

  • Electrical ratings to 5 amps @ 120 VAC resistive
  • Setpoint accuracy to +/- 2°F (+/- 1.1°C)
  • Setpoint differential nominal 1°F (+/- 0.7°C)
  • Field tested critical components specifically selected to operate reliably temperature extremes of 32° to 158°F. with 95% relative humidity
  • Storage temperature -40° to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C)

TRENT Solder and Tinning Troughs answer the demand for heavy-duty equipment capable of precision control.

These troughs all employ the same basic design regardless of their size or type of usage. The heavy duty construction with block type insulation on all sides and the bottom, incorporates TRENT Folded and Formed® radiant heater racks which radiate heat directly to the entire bottom of the trough, thus eliminating hot spot heating.

The vessel proper is fabricated from heavy gauge carbon steel with a flange which extends and wraps over the outer casing where it is rigidly fastened to prevent warping when under heat, but easily removable for maintenance. Control is achieved through any high-grade thermostatic type controller.

All troughs are suitable for bench or floor mounting.

  • Heater Controllers It is not enough to simply add a heating element to an LCD, OLED or Plasma display system. As with an oven or a home heating furnace, a thermostat (heater controller) is required in order to control the rate and performance of the heating element and the object being heated. General Digital™ Optical Bonding Laboratories™ offers generic and custom heater controllers for a wide variety of flat panel display and backlight heating elements.

  • Touch Sensor Controllers Along with the many touch sensor technologies available in the market, standard touch sensor controllers and drivers are also available. However, it is not always clear which is best for an application. General Digital™ Optical Bonding Laboratories™ can recommend the optimal touch sensor, controller and drivers for your application.

  • Intelligent Backlight Controller (IBC) Designed, patented and manufactured by General Digital™, this product monitors the bulb luminance and adjusts bulb current to maintain a constant light output level. It also monitors the environmental conditions that may affect the display and logs any monitor faults so predictive repair-before-failure analysis may be performed.

  • Zippy™ Piezo-Electric Inverters General Digital™ can provide low noise, wide dimming range inverters as part of your assembly. With all optical enhancements, it is imperative that the optimal inverter is utilized in order to maximize performance without diminishing the life expectancy of CCFL's.   • LED Backlight Control Electronics can be provided on LED-backlit enhanced displays. Similar to an inverter for a CCFL backlight, LED backlight systems require drive electronics to control them. Used to melt aluminum and zinc.

TRENT Aluminum and Zinc Melting Furnaces are specially designed for these hard-to-handle metals. The pots are fabricated from 1-1/4" thick steel using welded steel construction. TRENT Folded and Formed® heating elements are mounted to the inner casing walls with grooved porcelain retainers. The elements radiate uniform heat directly to the pot outer surface walls. This quickly and effectively transfers the heat to the material being melted. This method prevents pot stresses and hot spotting that tends to shorten pot life.

The pots are designed to provide full access for easy ladling or dipping. A control well opening at the bottom of the pot crucible effectively allows the control thermostat to sense the pot and material temperature to the maximum operating temperature of 1000°F.

Tilting models are usually floor mounted and designed with a mounting stand, a pouring spout and hand wheel tilt pouring gear box arrangement or quick-acting handle.
