Coto Technology has announced the release of a new product -- the 9290 series Surface Mount Reed Relay. The 9290 is smaller than the similar 9200 series and requires 35% less pad space per relay. Additionally, the 9290 has an external magnetic shield which minimizes interaction between relays that are mounted close together.
Like Coto's ultraminiature surface mount relays, the 9290 utilizes a higher temperature solder alloy for internal connections. The solder alloy, Sn95/Sb5, allows for process temperatures of 430F (226C) max for a 1 minute dwell time; this can be a significant benefit in many harsh reflow processes.
For designers, coaxial shields are included to provide RF capability and fast rise time for switching pulses. Standard versions of the 9290 will utilize Coto's high-reliability ATE grade RI-27 switch. Uses for the 9290 series vary widely, but it is a strong choice for ATE, Process Instrumentation and Telecommunications applications.
Gull wing surface mount style is available in tubes of 100 pieces or tape & reel spools of 1000 pcs.

Webb Abrasives

Webb Abrasives has been outstanding the competition for several years. What, you may ask, is the secret to the superior quality of their abrasive? The answer is simple...CRT. What is CRT? Clog Resistant Technology, a combination of factors found in no other sanding sponge. Combined, these factors create a long lasting, clog resistant sanding sponge superior to any other, wet or dry... Factor 1: Adhesive Unlike other sanding sponges, the adhesive in Webb Abrasives is heat-resistant and will not become gummy when it is heated by friction. This keeps the grit from sinking into the adhesive (rendering the sponge useless). This allows their sponges to last longer and be more effective. The flexibility of their adhesive holds the grit, but allows the cutting points to flex instead of breaking off. Factor 2: Grit Webb Abrasive's grit is the finest made in Germany. The points and sides work like a broom. Sitting on its base of flexible adhesive, the grit sweeps back and forth, allowing the sponge to cut aggressively. A thin, clear coat of polymer applied to the grit creates a thin barrier to further prevent clogging. Their revolutionary adhesive process allows the foam to be covered with grit without any seams, for a more even sanding surface. Factor 3: Foam The Blueflex Soft foam pad in Webb Abrasives provides even pressure and better control. Less force means less heat and hot spots, which makes for an even sanding surface. Their foam can be contoured to any shape, relieving the pressure on the grit's cutting points. This makes our sponge more flexible and long lasting than any other.

Webb Abrasives
New Dust Free Clog Resistant Sanding Discs
Webb Abrasives presents an exciting new development in sanding technology: a unique, multi-holed foam backed disc, which takes heat-control AND dust-control to a whole new level. Joest products can last up to four times as long as conventional sanding discs.
Eliminates Filling
With conventional discs, dust from sanding quickly clogs the surface of the disc. This often produces visible defects in the sanding surface. The perforated surface of the Superpad effectively removes dust and simultaneously eliminates problems caused by clogging.
Dust-Free Sanding
In contrast to ordinary sanding pads, the Superpad P is perforated across its entire surface. This unique, patented design allows for continuous dust extraction. In addition, the foam backing creates a jet-stream between the top coat and base of the paper. Air is not only suctioned north and south, but east and west as well, thereby significantly reducing the amount of hazardous dust in the workplace.
Optimal Performance
The heat-resistant foam backing further extends use of the product by cooling the sanding surface upon contact. By minimizing problems created by clogging, heat, and friction, you can sand a larger surface area for a longer amount of time. The result: the Superpad P has a sanding capacity up to four times higher than ordinary sanding discs.

PITTSBURGH — March 10, 2005 — Chromalox, the world's leading supplier of electric industrial comfort heaters, is proud to announce the availability of our advanced design HD3D corrosion resistant blower heaters for comfort heating and freeze prevention in harsh, corrosive, dirty and wet environments. This new HD3D model replaces the highly successful HDH model as the industry leader in corrosion resistant air heaters.
The HD3D has been designed to allow the user to install the heater to provide either horizontal or vertical airflow. All standard HD3D heaters include low profile stainless steel brackets, making it the only hose-down heater on the market that can be directly mounted to a wall or ceiling. This feature offers savings for the customer by eliminating the added cost of a separate swivel-mounting bracket. Universal swivel brackets are also available for those applications that require the heater to be turned to various angles.
Chromalox HD3D heaters are not only UL Approved and CSA Certified for use in USA and Canada, but also CE Marked to meet European standards. The following special features make the HD3D particularly user-friendly:
(a)NEMA 4X control box located on the front of the heater makes access during installation or maintenance convenient.
(b)Special wiring connector provides a watertight seal in the event of replacement of the motor, limit control or elements.
(c)Color-coded wiring, as clearly indicated in the control closure as well as the installation manual, simplifies servicing of the heater.
(d)The pilot light and fan selector switch are located at the bottom of the front control box cover, making it highly visible and convenient for the user.
HD3D applications are varied:Waster water treatment plants, Coal handling areas, Food processing plants, Foundries , Dairies, Steel mills & Cement plants, Ships & Construction sites, Car washes, Swimming pool areas.

Versatile Heat and Chemically Resistant Adhesive/Potting Compound Features Long Pot Life and Very Fast Cure at 100°C A uniquely versatile high temperature and chemically resistant epoxy EP62-1 has been introduced by Master Bond, Inc. Hackensack, N.J. The two component system features a long pot life at ambient temperatures and efficient cures at moderately elevated temperatures. The pot life of 400 grams is 5-7 hrs. Typical cure conditions range from 4-6 hours at 60°C to 5-10 minutes at 121°C. The cured epoxy resin exhibits remarkably high thermal stability (i.e. HDT, heat deflection temperature 150°C (300°F)) and excellent chemical resistance even when exposed to such aggressive media as 50% sulfuric acid, concentrated ammonium hydroxide, jet fuel, methanol, carbon tetrachloride and methyl ethyl ketone. Shrinkage upon cure is less than 0.7%. The service temperature range is from -5°C to 205°C (-60°F to 400°F). Versatile Master Bond EP62-1 is specially formulated for the high performance protection of electronic assemblies and devices as a potting and encapsulation compound. It is also well suited for use in as a conformal coating and in electro-optic applications for glass fiber potting and bonding fibers to connectors. EP62-1 is an excellent electrical insulator having a high volume resistivity of 6x1016 ohm-cm, and a 3.7 dielectric constant at 103 hertz. EP62-1's flexural strength is 13,200, psi, its flexural modulus is 565,000 psi and its Shore D hardness is 85. This excellent blend of properties suggests its use in high performance bonding, filament winding, castings and printed circuit board lamination applications.
