KOOLTRONIC Air-Cooled Rack-Mounted Air Conditioners are particularly suited for applications where internal horizontal mounting is preferred over external panel, door or top mounting. Air-cooled models are typically mounted internally at either the top or bottom of the cabinet.

KOOLTRONIC Rack-Mounted Air Conditioners all include EIA-notched flanges. Air-cooled models are provided with attractive 19-inch wide stain-less steel grilles and knurled captive fasteners for easy removal. Grille area is 65% open. If preferred, side rails can be supplied.

Outdoor or corrosive environments require weather protection and/or special internal and external protective features.

STANDARD FEATURES:

CLOSED-LOOP COOLING: The enclosure interior airflow system is isolated from the ambient airflow system. Ambient air can not invade the cool,dehumidified sensitive component compartment.

BALL-BEARING MOTORS: All blower motors are UL/CSA Recognized and include automatic-reset thermal overload protection and double-sealed or double-shielded precision ball bearings. Special permanent lubricants perform over a broad temperature range: -20°F [-28.9°C] to 250°F [121.1°C].

BLOWERS: All centrifugal blowers are Kooltronic-designed and built, to provide optimum airflow and pressure for each Air Conditioner design.

RUGGED CONSTRUCTION: Precision-engineered heavy gauge steel construction of all cabinets and blowers insures Air Conditioners will stand up under tough applications.

BAKED POWDER FINISH: Durable, baked-on gray powder finish is standard. Other finishes are available.

POWER: Available in 115 VAC, 60 Hz or 50/60 switchable and 230 VAC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

REFRIGERANT: CFC-free R134a Refrigerant is used in all H7 Series Air Conditioners.

PERMANENT FILTERS: Multi-layer grid of sturdy, corrugated aluminum in an aluminum frame. May be reused after washing off accumulations and spraying with A-16 Recoating Adhesive.

CONDENSATE EVAPORATOR: Built-in Condensate Evaporator eliminates need for draining condensate under normal operating conditions. May not be adequate in extremely high humidity with open or leaky enclosure. Overflow condensate drain fitting and hose are included.

LOW TEMPERATURE CONTROL: Thermostatic Low Temperature Control prevents over-cooling and provides energy-efficient operation.

EMI/RFI SUPPRESSOR: EMI/RFI Suppressor minimizes transient line spikes during on/off cycling.

POWER CORD: All models have six foot [1.8m] SJT-type 3-wire power cords with appropriate plugs.

INSULATION: All cold components, lines and the evaporator compartment are insulated with high-performance insulation for maximum efficiency.

GASKETING: All units are fully gasketed for tight, leakproof installation, in compliance with the NEMA 4/4X Enclosure Rating.

QUALITY ASSURANCE: Refrigeration system components are kept sealed until charged with refrigerant; all brazed joints are thoroughly leak-tested; each unit is functionally tested before shipment.

INSTALLATION: Detailed Installation and Operator's Manual, with drawings, mounting plan and spare parts list is included with each unit.

UL/CUL LISTED OR RECOGNIZED: All H7 models are UL/CUL Listed or Recognized. Listed Air Conditioners have an "L" at or near the end of the model number and Recognized units have an "R" at or near the end of the model number. All Recognized models are available as Listed at added cost.

The gantry features all welded, stress relieved, reinforced components with all contact surfaces machined to ensure accurate matchup with mating surfaces. Machined wheels and roller bearings provide smooth, precise machine motion. The thick wall box beam provided ample strength and stiffness to support the process stations over a maximum of 20 ft. width. An independent reinforced deck supports all auxiliary equipment without placing any additional torsional forces on the main beam.

It can be equipped with ESAB's Vision™ Computer Numerical Control for the most advanced waterjet optimized motion control in the industry. Process control for any material is as easy as selecting the material type and thickness.

The main rail system is a floor mounted assembly with machined "T" rails mounted on fully adjustable cast steel pads, and protected by bellows covers (not shown). This allows almost unlimited cutting lengths. The "T" rails are machined on three sides and are tongue-and-groove on the ends to interlock at joints, thereby eliminating sideways movement. Adjustments are provided on the mounting pads to facilitate leveling and alignment. Drive racks are mounted directly to the machined surface of the rail, ensuring proper alignment.

The beam, ways, and drive rack are all protected by way covers, and all process stations use a fully enclosed high-speed vertical lifter. Smooth, accurate motion is provided by digital AC drive amplifiers, AC brushless motors and precision planetary gear boxes. The system is geared for the waterjet process, providing travel speeds from 0.1 to 750 ipm (2.54 - 19,050 mm/min).

Minneapolis, MN – FasTest's VariQuik coupling system creates versatility in medical oxygen filling applications. Companies that service the medical oxygen industry use two types of standard connections for filling oxygen cylinders. Specifically, the industry approved CGA 540 and CGA 870 connection styles. Traditionally, the capital investment required a dedicated cylinder filling rack to each style, oxygen source and medical oxygen connector to interface between the source and cylinders to be filled.

The versatile VariQuik coupling system provides a quick change for the oxygen filling rack and connection to the CGA 540 and CGA 870 from a single oxygen source. In the application, the VariQuik coupler is added to the oxygen source, the FasTest MediMate 540 and MediMate 870 medical oxygen connectors for the CGA 540 and CGA 870 respectively are outfitted with a flexible pigtail hose and mating connector to the VariQuik coupler. This simple change makes a dedicated oxygen filling rack easily converted back and forth between the CGA 540 and CGA 870 connections. This keeps the rack busy at all times and a dedicated rack an option, but not a requirement.

METSO Automation Launches CINTAC Advanced Automation System Simplifies and reduces cost of automating rotary on-off valves.

Northborough, Mass. (November 28, 2005) – Metso Automation's new CINTAC Advanced Automation System simplifies and reduces the cost of automating rotary on-off valves. The new CINTAC system merges Jamesbury® actuator expertise with StoneL® advanced communication and control system technology and eliminates the need to engineer, procure and assemble separate rack and pinion actuators, switches, solenoid valves, linkages, tubes, and fittings.

The CINTAC Advanced Automation System has been designed as a cost-effective platform with field-proven components. Designed to support future growth, the system includes advanced diagnostics, digital bus communication capabilities and automated on-line emergency shutdown testing. Users benefit from intelligent reliability, plug and play installation, as well as many unique standard features that make the system easier to use, install and maintain.

The heart of the system is a rugged, field proven rack and pinion actuator with ISO 5211 interface for compatibility with any quarter turn valve. Position sensing is done by a contact-free magnetic resistive (Mag Res) sensor with no mechanical parts or connections to wear out or bind. It is not affected by lateral or vertical shaft movement. Push button switch setting allows for true contact-free position setting and eliminates having to set cams.

The unit is completely sealed and protected from corrosion and short-circuiting due to moisture. Its solid-state circuitry assures the longevity of switches. The unit accepts either AC or DC input voltage for easy adaptation to existing power and it eliminates the potential for burned-out electronics. An additional benefit of the universal power input is reduced inventory (one unit meets most power needs).

Leak-free integral air porting further improves the unit's reliability by eliminating crimping or bending of tubing, leaking fittings, and worn or broken hoses. A built-in spring-return re-breather automatically feeds clean instrument air to the spring housing to prevent water ingress and internal corrosion. The CINTAC systems construction allows all critical components to be easily accessible through a removable cover.

The CINTAC Advanced Automation System operates at temperatures ranging from -4º F to +150º F and pressures to 120 PSI. Units with a low temperature option to -40º F are also available. The system is also available as non incendive for general purpose and Class I & II Div. 2 applications; explosion proof for Class I & II Div. 1 and 2 areas; or intrinsically safe for Class I & II Div. 1 and 2 areas using IS wiring.
