Clark Solutions' new offering includes Models A2, A3, A5, and A6 Handheld Laser Distance Meters. Series A portable handheld laser distance meters are the ultimate selection for distance measurement. They allow safe, single-handed measurements up to 200 meters (650 ft) with millimeter accuracy. More accurate than ultrasonic devices and much more convenient than a tape measure, Series A Handheld Laser Distance Meters are offered in a number of model choices.

These ergonomic units are offered for indoor and outdoor applications. Features include:

Model A2-The Handy OneFor indoor applications this compact and handy base model was specifically designed for indoor applications. Shortcut keys for addition, subtraction, area and volume calculation make measuring fast and very reliable. As with all model A laser distance meters, the laser dot is clearly visible. You can always see your targeting point, even if the target object is in a hard to access area. Precise measuring: fast and easy —fits into every pocket!

Model A3-The Robust One (average accuracy of ±0.12 in. at distances from 0.2-328 ft.)The indoor specialist with outdoor aspirations. Robustness and easy handling are the defining characteristics of this instrument. In addition to the well-known shortcut keys, are the minimum and maximum measurement functions, which enable horizontal and diagonal measurements, e.g. in corners. The built in Power Range Technology permits making measurements of up to 80 m without target plates. This makes The Robust One outdoor capable. To keep you from forgetting your measured values, there is also a memory function.

Model A5-The Versatile One (integrated telescopic optical viewfinder with crosshairs for aiming, and flip-out end piece for measurement from edges of areas or corners. Unit measures distances from 0.2-650 ft with accuracy of ±0.08 in.)Model A5 model stands out, thanks to both to its ergonomic design and the soft rubber grip that allows it to sit well in the hand. With the unique end-piece, wide range of additional functions and integrated viewfinder, you are fully equipped to tackle any measuring task. The most common calculating functions are quickly and easily accessed via the corresponding shortcut keys.

Model A6-The Data Transfer One features Integrated BLUETOOTH® wireless and reliable data transfer, telescopic optical viewfinder and flip-out end piece for measurement from edges of areas or corners. Unit measures distances from 0.2-650 ft with accuracy of ±0.06 in.With Bluetooth enabled model A6 you are equipped to meet the demands of any situation. Measuring does not end with displaying the measured values on the A6, the data can be electronically transferred to a Pocket PC, Laptop or Clark Datalogger for immediate processing. The unit features an advanced timing system and sophisticated, self-correcting signal processing functions that allow it to accurately and reliably measure level, distance, and position in the harshest of conditions. The LM200 works even in the presence of dust, vapors, or turbulence, as are commonly found in large silos of coal, grain, or plastics, and in underground mines or quarries. The system¹s all-digital design provides speed and accuracy in a compact unit. A rugged, powder coated aluminum enclosure, rated for IP65 or NEMA 4X, with CL II and III, Div 1 and 2, Gr E, F, G dust ignition proof ratings to FM and CSA, ensures operation in a variety of challenging environments. Stainless steel dust tubes prevent dust build-up and protect the optical lens from being coated.

State-of-the-Art Signal Processing and Laser Technologies

The LM200 features an all-digital design that provides speed and accuracy in a compact unit. The system architecture allows the software to perform distance measurements quickly, then dedicate more time for sophisticated signal processing, data analysis, and distance display. Last pulse detection means the LM200 can select true signals from among the many that are reflected from dust clouds, agitator blades, or other obstacles. Color compensation corrects for weak or excessive return signals. Variable gain allows the LM200 to select the best return signal in quickly changing visibility conditions, such as dust, vapors, and materials of different colors. Such capabilities are especially useful for underground mines and smelters where high dust levels and excessive vibration can render other non-contact technologies inoperable.

The LM200 transmitter takes measurements using a laser with an extremely small wavelength of ~1 micrometer. As a result, the unit has virtually no angle divergence, even over long distances. It can be narrowly focused, ensuring that it does not pick up interference from surrounding objects. The system can also measure oblique angles with pinpoint accuracy. This allows it to operate within complex vessels, even if they contain internal structures. The LM200 is also immune to reflections and echoes, thus providing consistent performance on solids and total immunity to "cone up" and "cone down" variations in the material being measured.

The LM200 is a stand-alone unit that requires no calibration or special configuration. This ensures users are quickly up and running. The unit is easily programmed with a Palm handheld device or a desktop/laptop personal computer. Convenient, portable mounting options allow users to position the laser in any direction. K-TEK uses Class 1 lasers, making the LM200 products safe for the human eye. No special safety glasses are required.

measuring over extended distances, up to 240 ft (75 m) with narrow beam. No

beam divergence means no false echoes so accurate targeting is easy, even in

An integrated graphic display provides easy readout viewing and the

user-friendly setup menu supports a wide range of languages for quick setup

Advanced Laser Optics

The SureShot140XP accurately measures distances up to 240 feet (75 meters).

A precise, pulsed laser diode features no beam divergence and, therefore, no

false echoes. The laser can be directed through very tight spaces, as small

as three inches in diameter. This means accurate readings in silos with

internal structures or build-up.

"The SureShot laser transmitter combines a unique set of features that are

ideal for a variety of challenging environments and applications," stated

parallel laser beam and the ability to detect surfaces at oblique angles

means consistent performance in tight spaces with complex structures and

All-Digital Design

The SureShot140XP is a compact and modular unit featuring a unique,

all-digital design. No calibration or special configuration software is

required, so setup and troubleshooting are quick and simple. An integrated

graphic display with push buttons allows easy setup and detailed viewing of

menus and readouts. A choice of languages is offered, including English,

Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, and Mandarin.

Geared to last pulse detection, the SureShot140XP is able to select true

signals even in the presence of surrounding noise, such as chemical vapors,

dust, or agitator blades. The transmitter's variable gain provides

reliability measurements in environments with quickly changing visibility

conditions, even in the presence of dust, vapors, and smoke. Color

compensation corrects for weak or excessive return signals, even at high

speeds. Readings can be updated as quickly as three times per second. A

sophisticated digital filtering system rejects atypical readings and selects

true signals.

The standard housing is powder-coated aluminum with optional stainless steel

for corrosive environments. Stainless steel dust tubes prevent dust build-up

and protect the optical lens from being coated. The dual-compartment design

isolates wiring and terminations from sensors and internal electronics. The

system features such output options as 4-20mA and HART.
