Thrust Bearings

Precision thrust ball bearings allow smooth rotation under high axial loads and low speeds. Both rings and balls are manufactured from 52100 chrome steel and oil-lubricated to ensure low friction operation and long life. Ball cages are manufactured from brass or stainless steel. For applications that require high axial loads and relatively low speeds.

Collar Bearings

Clamp type collar has split extended inner on one side and removable collar with setscrew for easy clamping to shafts. Double rubber seals assure maximum protection for the bearing. Permanently grease-lubricated for long life. Manufactured from 52100 chrome steel. Meets industry standard ABEC 1 specifications (except for bore).

Universal mounting brackets provide proper support and alignment for the thrust bearing, the nut, and the outboard end bearing (when needed). The lead screw axis and nut clamp are accurately parallel to flat mounting and banking surfaces. The optional motor bracket can be used with the thrust bearing bracket for simple, prealigned motor support.

Each bracket is supplied separately. Order the thrust bearing bracket with the lead screw to permit factory assembly under ideal conditions. Order the optional motor bracket for factory assembly to the thrust bearing bracket. The nut bracket and outboard bearing bracket are assembled by the user.

Heavy Duty Forged Casters

Premium forged steel casters with guaranteed for life integral forged kingpin and CNC-machined raceways and precision tapered secondary load bearing.

Maxi-Duty Casters --Capacities up to 20,000 lbs.

Move up to 10 tons on Maxi-Duty Casters, designed and built for the toughest applications including shipbuilding, manufactured housing, automotive and aerospace. Long life and dependable service are assured with Hamilton's premium forged steel swivel construction. All forged steel wheels are machined with a slight crown to enhance rollability and swiveling.

Prec. Super Duty Casters --Capacities up to 5,000 lbs.

The distinctive feature of these drop forged steel Precision Super Duty Casters is that both the secondary thrust bearing and main load bearing are precision-type, self-contained unit bearings for smoother swiveling under demanding loads. All forged steel wheels are machined with a slight crown to improve rollability and swiveling.

The term "precision" indicates that both the secondary thrust bearing and the main load bearing are precision-made, self-contained unit bearings - a design rarity in the commercial caster marketplace. It is not meant to imply that other caster dimensions are held to closer tolerances than normal in the industry.

Extra Heavy Duty Casters --Capacities up to 4,000 lbs.

Hamilton's popular Extra Heavy Duty Casters are widely recognized for their superior performance, wide selection, and reliable service. The EHD's extra thick hot forgings, guaranteed-for-life integrally forged kingpin and precision tapered thrust bearing combine to defy comparison. Yet high volume enables us to price these superior products among the lowest priced casters in their class. Also available in a dual-wheeled version.

Champion Casters --Capacities up to 3,500 lbs.

Named after a caster introduced in the 1950's, Hamilton's Champion Casters will be recognized for their superior performance, wide selection, and reliable service. As with all Hamilton Forged Steel Casters, the Champion's 1" integrally forged steel kingpin is guaranteed for life.

Advanced Duty Casters --Capacities up to 2,600 lbs.

Advanced Duty Casters are distinguished by the "ears" of the horn base that provide a generous welding area for the husky legs and allow for lower overall heights. They feature a precision tapered thrust bearing and guaranteed-for-life integrally forged kingpin.

Extended Service Casters--Capacities up to 2,400 lbs.

When grueling loads and continuous operations exist, Hamilton's Extended Service Casters with standard heat-treated raceways extend caster life. This makes Series ES Casters an excellent choice for use on in-plant trailers, towline carts or AGV systems. Features integrally forged steel kingpin - guaranteed for life.

ForgeMaster Casters --Capacities up to 2,200 lbs.

Hamilton's ForgeMaster™ Casters were designed to match popular industry mounting plate, bolt hole and overall height specifications. However, the precision tapered thrust bearing and guaranteed-for-life integrally forged kingpin design make it superior to the double ball race casters in its class.

Heavy Service Casters --Capacities up to 2,000 lbs.

Hamilton's ForgeMaster™ Casters were designed to match popular industry mounting plate, bolt hole and overall height specifications. However, the precision tapered thrust bearing and guaranteed-for-life integrally forged kingpin design make it superior to the double ball race casters in its class.

Workhorse Casters --Capacities up to 2,000 lbs.

The Workhorse combines the forged steel strength of Hamilton's HS Caster Series and the bolt hole pattern of the Standard Duty 52 Series. The drop forged steel swivel caster construction includes a 3/4" diameter integrally forged steel kingpin (guaranteed for life!), and a precision secondary load bearing.

When your application is too tough for the Standard Duty 52 Series, but you need to match its specifications, Workhorse is up to the challenge.
