PPC™ Multi-strand Flat Power Cable
PPC is a new flat-cable product derived from the popular PowerFlex™ and DuraFlex™ round power cable. The tremendous flexibility and ease-of-installation of the round-style cable has been reconfigured for applications that require a much flatter cable cross-sectional area. Consequently, this cable will fit into narrow cavities where conventional round cable will not.

PPC™ (Parallel Power Cable™) Multi-strand Flat Power Cable Bends in a Tight Radius, Fits in Narrow Areas
Parallel Power Cable (PPC) is a flexible, low-inductance cable designed for power istribution and grounding applications. PPC's unique construction offers significantly lower inductance than equivalent round cable. Tin-plated wires are extruded in parallel allowing more current per Circular Mil Area (CMA) than round cable. PPC's innovative design makes it lighter than conventional power cable and, in many applications, the flat construction is easier to route and can improve system airflow.
Construction: • Lower Inductance than Round Cable • Highly Flexible • Durable TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) Jacket • High Abrasion Resistant • Tinned Copper Wires • UL and CSA Rated to 600 Volts, 105oC • UL VW-1, CSA FT1 • Jacket Oxygen Index is 30% • UL Style 21078 • Available in Black or Red Inductance Comparison - Round Cable vs PPC Round cable has about 1/2 the inductance per foot than equivalent ampacity-rated. Lower inductance means faster power supply response to quick current changes. More importantly, the high frequency current present in most DC current-carrying cables results in radiated noise, which is undesirable. PPC minimizes this unwanted radiated noise.

Polymer Technologies, Inc. (PTI) introduces a revolutionary new design capability for ceramics components. This remarkable technology was developed and produced by Pilot Precision Ceramics (PPC), a unit of Pilot Pen, and is being marketed and distributed through TekForm Management Inc. and Polymer Technologies Inc. The PPC precision ceramic machining and extrusion techniques produce extruded rods, tubes and irregular shapes held to sub-micron tolerances with an extraordinary level of concentricity, eccentricity and end-to-end straightness. Ceramics, known for their thermal and electrical insulating capabilities, as well as materials that are bio-compatible and transparent to certain radio frequencies, can be utilized in this process. Geometries that can be achieved through this new technology, that before now were not available, include:
- Holes as small as 10 um (0.0004")
- Outer Diameters from 0.3 mm up to 5 mm
- Lengths from 0.5mm up to 100 mm
- Wall thickness from 100 um up to 2.49 mm
- Holes can be custom configured (need not be round)
- Tubes can be multi-lumen. (For example, a 5 mm diameter disk with 392 holes)
- Surface roughness less than 0.1 um
This process can be used for medical applications (such as implantable devices, small filters, and devices requiring multi-lumen tubes) and for non-medical applications including connectors, filters, pressure valves, fluid or gas flow control, precision alignment devices and sensors for automotive, optical communication and safety devices.

Emerson Network Power / Liebert Power & Cooling
Liebert FDC
As your rack-based systems grow in number, complexity and criticality -- so must your power distribution system. To meet this challenge Liebert has created a product designed to optimize power distribution at the rack level with the "plug and play" flexibility that today's IT managers demand from their systems.
Integrate power distribution into the rack environment, with the rack-sized Liebert FDC. The distribution cabinet extends the functionality of the PDU by packaging 168 poles (four complete panelboards) that can be attached to a Liebert Foundation rack or used as a stand-alone cabinet that blends physically and cosmetically with rack equipment, while offering the distribution capabilities of a much larger unit.
Unlike standard Liebert Precision Power Center (PPCs), the FDC has no internal isolation transformer and requires 4-wire-plus-ground input from a PPC or other transformer.
Product Features
168 Breaker Poles in a 19 inch rack (23.5" x 38" Cabinet)
Unique 42-Pole Inline Panelboards
Front and rear access only
Bottom, top, or thru the side cable entry/exit
Easy Installation

FusionLug™
The FusionLug is a durable, low voltage-drop termination fabricated from the stranded ends of the cable itself. This very reliable "lug" is formed using high strand count power cable. Since the wire is used to make the lug itself, the circuit current rating is limited only by the wire and not the lug.

The Strongest Link in the Cabling Chain
The FusionLug is a durable, low voltage-drop termination fabricated from the stranded ends of the cable itself. This very reliable "lug" is formed using high strand count power cable. Since the wire is used to make the lug itself, the circuit current rating is limited only by the wire and not the lug.
- Very rugged, hefty termination formed from the stranded ends of power cable
- Creates a gas-tight seal to prevent internal corrosion
- Termination rating equals cable current rating
- Ideal for multiple wire terminations commoned together
- Ideal for applications involving movement, shock or vibration
- Machinable with chamfers, diagonal cuts and bends
- Very low cable-termination resistance
- Formed from stranded wire ranging from 18 AWG to 500 MCM
The FusionLug is one of Cableco's most versatile termination products. It is extremely rugged, machinable, formable, and will terminate more than 100 wires together. It is most often fabricated using the high strand-count PowerFlex™ or DuraFlex™ or PPC cable.

Advantech - Applied Computing Group
PPC-L60T
VIA® Eden™ Based Fanless Panel PC with 6.4" TFT LCD and Touch Screen
More >>
PPC-L60T is a 6.4" industrial-grade Panel PC (PPC) for small interface requirements such as Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) or Multifunctional Products ( MFP). Designed with a CPU that consumes less power and does not need a fan for cooling, PPC-L60T is more reliable. The robust enclosure in stainless steel also makes this an interface for a long-term solution, and it especially suitable for environments such as chemical and food processing plants. PPC-L60T's comes with an embedded OS for faster application development, so driver development and customization of images do not slow down project implementation.

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms
VG6 PowerPC Single Board Computer
The VG6 from GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms is a Rugged, VME-6U Single Board Computer using the Freescale 8640/8640D processor.
The VG6 from GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms is a Rugged, VME-6U Single Board Computer using the Freescale 8640/8640D processor The VG6 provides high end PowerPC processing with reduced power consumption/heat generation. Choosing the MPC 8640-based VG6 enables users to achieve the processing performance available from the Freescale MPC8641 – which is widely used throughout the embedded computing industry – but with significantly lower power/heat dissipation: Boards supporting the MPC8640 and MPC8640D offer superior performance per watt, and the MPC 8640 is code-compatible with the MPC8641, meaning that no software changes. In a typical dual node, dual core configuration, the MPC8640 dissipates between 7 and 14 watts less than its MPC8641 equivalent, making a VG6-based system easier to cool and thus robust. This power/heat savings becomes even more significant in sophisticated quad node computers which are often used in multiples for advanced signal processing applications. In addition, the VG6 and all our MPC8640 and MPC8640D based SBCs include the AltiVec numeric processor, on-chip memory controllers, PCI Express, Serial RapidIO and multiple Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The VG6 rugged version addresses extreme environment applications with optional conduction cooling, which extends the temperature range to -40°C to +85°C, increased shock and vibration immunity using stiffener bars and wedge locks, and conformal coating. The conduction-cooled VG6 complies with VITA 30.1-2001 and IEEE Std. 1101.2-1992 specifications.
