LEESON Electric now offers a full line of Premium Stainless Steel motors specifically designed to meet the demanding sanitation requirements of the food processing industry. The motors are designed to withstand corrosive washdown solutions containing caustic lye, bleach, acids, alkalines, and surfactants. These motors are also well suited for use in demanding chemical processing or clean-room applications.

To withstand corrosive washdown environments, all exterior surfaces of the LEESON Premium Stainless Steel motors - frames, endbells, mounting base, fan guard, hardware, conduit box and cover -- are corrosion resistant 300-series stainless steel. Double-sealed bearings that are pre-lubricated with moisture resistant high-temperature grease are used on both ends of the motor.

The following features are unique to LEESON's Premium Stainless Steel motors:

•Revolutionary new conduit box design that reduces the contact area between the motor and the box to provide a tight seal at this critical location

•O-rings are used between the endbells and motor frame to form a liquid-tight seal.

•Double-lip seals are used in both endbells on TEFC motors and on the shaft end of TENV motors.

•All external seals, gaskets and O-rings are made from Viton® (Fluoroelastomer) material for superior chemical resistance.

•Hydrophobic breathers in the opposite shaft endbell and conduit box equalize pressure without allowing moisture to enter the motor.

•A full-fact etched stainless steel nameplate is blind-riveted to the conduit box, eliminating rivet holes in the motor frame.

Fixtureworks has added a complete line of all stainless steel quick release pins from Fairlane Products. These positive locking quick release pins have a wide range of applications in fastening, locating, and alignment applications. The pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed. Once the button is depressed, the balls retract into the shank allowing the pin to be inserted or removed into or out of a hole. They are ideal for field applications and quick change operations because they are installed and removed without the use of tools.

Because they are made entirely from stainless steel, these pins can be used outside in harsh environments. They can also be found in the medical field, food processing applications, and other clean operations.

The shanks are available in two types of stainless steel to meet a wide range of application needs. The 304 stainless steel shanks provide excellent corrosion resistance in harsh environments. The 17-4 stainless also offers good corrosion resistance as well as the ability to withstand much higher shear forces than the 304 stainless.

The handle, actuator button, balls, and other internal components are also made from stainless steel. These pins are supplied with a stainless steel split ring for attaching a cable assembly.

New Product Expansion to Series of Stainless Steel Pneumatic Regulators and Filter Regulators

ControlAir Inc. announces a major product expansion to their line of Stainless Steel Pneumatic Regulators and Filter Regulators. The expansion includes adding an automatic drain option, a low temperature option for "arctic" applications, and a new Stainless Steel Filter. The Type 350/360/370SS Series was designed to withstand the harshest environments while providing highly accurate pressure regulation and filtration.

The 316 stainless steel housing and filter assemblies and the fluorocarbon diaphragm construction make the Type 350/360/370SS Series compatible with sour gas and adaptable to off shore environments. The Type 350/360/370SS Series meets all NACE standard MR-0175 requirements for corrosive resistance. Low initial cost and minimal air consumption make these units economical to buy and operate. The Type 350/360SS Series also provides extremely accurate and repeatable control of gas pressure. To maximize performance, oversized valving helps the regulators achieve high flow rates with minimal pressure drop. A tapped exhaust port permits remote venting of hazardous gases. A low air consumption rate of 4 SCFH (0.1 m3/hr) ensures economical operation. The Type 370SS Filter removes solid and liquid particles down to 25 micron (5 micron option), producing clean compressed air.

The Type 350/360SS Series is designed to provide instrument quality air to valves, pneumatic controllers, transmitters, transducers, valve positioners, air cylinders, and a wide range of pneumatic control systems. Applications include oil and gas processing, both on and offshore; food; pulp and paper; pharmaceutical processing; pollution control; wastewater treatment and research projects.

The Type 350SS Stainless Steel Filter Regulator is available in ¼" NPT and ½" NPT porting. The Type 360SS Stainless Steel Regulator is available in ¼" NPT. There is a choice of four output ranges that provide outputs up to 150 psig (10 BAR). Maximum supply pressure is 290 psig (20 BAR). Two ¼" NPT gauge ports are included. Low temperature operation for "Arctic" applications ranges from -580F to +1940F (-500C to +900C ). An optional automatic float operated drain is available with 1/8" NPT connection for the Type 350 and Type 370 series. Optional hardware is offered that allows direct, inline or panel mounting.
