  • Inertia type mechanical load brake. This option specifies a bolt-on inertia mechanical load brake. The inertia type brake responds to overspeed of the load. It's similar in function to many safety devices including elevator safety brakes and automotive seat belts. If a dual brake is required this option is ideal as it does not reduce duty cycle, from heat created by drag, or require adjustment to compensate for wear.

To achieve an idea RTU design, R2+ RTU is fully modularized in all I / O units, intelligent processing in system operation and powerful in communication ability. It provides flexible, cost effective answers to many challenges that face the engineering, operations, and maintenance departments of today's power utilities.

The R2+ RTU offers a single RTU family meeting the entire range of requirements, from small distribution and cogeneration sites to large substations and generating stations, using the same components in a modular, block-building approach. The R2+ RTU introduces an open architecture permitting the addition of new processing modules, each linked by fully protected high-speed Local serial I / O bus. Nothing becomes obsolete in the course of expanding an RTU from the smallest to the largest, most complex configuration.

The EOTec 2104 is a rugged, high performance Industrial Ethernet ring switch that is designed to fill the gap between unmanaged and managed Ethernet switches. It provides all the benefits of redundant ring topology operation, but at a significantly lower cost than managed switches.

The 2104 features the simplicity of installation and operation of an unmanaged switch, while retaining many of the capabilities of a managed switch. It is pre-configured for ring topology and no setup or configuration is required. It doesn't require master switch selection or an IP address to operate in a redundant ring topology. Its ultra fast link loss recovery time ensures high reliability with minimal downtime.

The switch is supplied as standard with two 10/100Base-T copper ports and two 100Base-FX fiber ports (single or multi-mode). It is also expandable through its unique integrated backplane. For higher port counts (either copper or fiber), simply plug another four port switch or media converter into the switch.

The 2104 operates from a 15-40VDC power input and features a redundant power supply capability via its integrated backplane, using the Weed 2A06 or 2A16 (85-240VAC/ 85-125VDC) universal power supplies.

It has been designed for harsh industrial environments and for operation over a -40 °C to +85 °C ambient temperature range. It is also available in models that can transmit over fiber distances of up to 60 km (37 miles).
