The V151 is a single-width, C-size, VXIbus module that combines the performance of a PowerPC-based computer with the functionality of a VXI Slot-0 controller. On-board strap options enable this module to be used as a VXI-based processor in non-Slot-0 applications.

Using the VxWorks™ run-time kernel, the V151 provides an extremely powerful real-time computing environment. In most applications this controller is connected to a host computer via an Ethernet link and uses TCP/IP protocol and VxWorks to communicate with a host computer. The V151 is an ideal real-time embedded controller for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) applications.

Equipped with m+p international proven VibControl shaker control software and highly precise VXI instrumentation made by VXI Technology inc., VibRunner offers an excellent alternative in the product range up to 64 input channels. The VibRunner control system supports all test modes used in today's vibration testing according to ISO, DIN, MIL-STD 810, IEC and many other standards.

The outstanding VibRunner measurement hardware comprises a mainframe, a digitizer, a PC to VXI interface
(1 Gigabit Ethernet or IEEE-1394 FireWire) and, optionally, an arbitrary source for sine-on-random testing. The 24-bit digitizer and the Ethernet or FireWire interface which allow
for extremely fast data transfer between the VXI hardware
and the host PC support all VibControl functions which are configured exactly to your needs. The digitizer includes DSP, transducer signal conditioning, alias protection, digitization and high-speed measurement computation. The VibRunner can be equipped with 8/16-channel VXI digitizers having front panel high-density SMB connectors or a breakout-box.

Digital inputs/outputs, both in the host PC or in the VXI mainframe, can be added to enable automatic operation under climatic chamber control for combined environment test programs. The VibRunner VXI measurement hardware is located outside of the PC so analog performance is not compromised by the electrically noisy PC environment.

The multi-tasking software architecture allows you to run tests while also analyzing and reporting on past and present results as well as setting up new tests without disrupting test control performance. This controller is therefore ideal for a networked system.

The Gigabit Ethernet card provides significantly reduced cabling costs and greater flexibility for installations requiring a remote shaker location. There is no reduction in control or acquisition speed with this architecture and the added benefit of PC data security in the safe environment of the control room.

The VCDS is a single-width, C-size VXI module that adapts most B size VME modules for use in a VXI mainframe. The VCDS is a functional replacement for the Colorado Data Systems Model CDS 73A-851.

The VCDS adapter maintains the VMEbus environment, timing, and backplane by buffering the VME address bus, data bus, and control signals and routing them to the installed VME module.

The VCDS supports seven interrupt levels, IRQ1 through IRQ7. The VCDS has an Interrupt Select Switch for each level on the VXIbus. The switches determine if the installed VME module will act as an interrupt handler or an interrupter, for each of the VXIbus interrupt levels.

The VCDS supports eight TTL trigger lines, TTLTRG0 through TTLTRG7. The VCDS has a TTL Trigger Direction switch for each TTL trigger line on the VXIbus. The switches indicate if the TTL trigger line will be an input to or output from the module. The VCDS also supports two ECL trigger lines, ECLTRG0 and ECLTRG1. The VCDS has an ECL Trigger Direction switch for each ECL trigger line. Trigger lines are accessed through mezzanine modules.

The VCDS has a SYSRESET Direction Switch to indicate whether the module can drive or monitor SYSRESET.

The V208 is a single width, C-size, register-based, VXIbus module that provides high-speed, high-resolution, analog-to-digital conversion. This module is intended for use with the KineticSystems line of VXIbus signal conditioning modules that incorporate the analog MUX-bus™ (e.g., Models V243, V246, V252,etc.) allowing extremely flexible system configurations without the need for intermodule cabling.

The V208 provides four instrumentation amplifier inputs, allowing high data throughput even with a large number of input channels. When used with 11 V243 signal conditioning modules, up to 1056 channels can be converted with each channel having its own limit-checking value. Up to 4 preconditioned signals can be monitored by the V208 without any signal conditioning modules.

This product provides a high degree of flexibility in configuring an analog sampling system. With the optional multibuffer memory, data can be taken at high sample rates with conventional controllers. If the Digi-bus™ option is used, the converted data can be forwarded to the V165 Digital Signal Processor or other modules supporting this protocol.

The V208 supports both static and dynamic configuration. It may be accessed using A32/A16, D32/D16 data transfers.
