The Mark 68HP is designed primarily for high pressure steam service as commonly found in power plants, refineries, pulp & paper mills, and other high pressure process applications. Since high pressure superheated steam is routinely used for power generation (turbines), a pressure regulator capable of withstanding these pressures is needed for the distribution of lower pressure steam for individual process requirements.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Backflow Prevention: Cepex by Hayward Wafer Check Valves prevent reversal of flow in piping systems. They are ideal where backflow could potentially cause damage to pumps, filters, or process equipment.

Easy Installation: Hayward Wafer Check Valves are light weight and designed for easy installation. The valve's wafer body slips between standard flanges and can be used in either vertical or horizontal operation**.

Reliable Operation: Hayward Wafer Check Valves operate without the need for any adjustments or settings. The valves plastic disc, with replaceable O-ring seals, is designed to provide a bubble-tight flow shutoff. When inlet flow stops, back pressure* moves the disc with its O-ring seal into the valves plastic body-shutting-off the flow.

Two Available Models: Hayward Wafer Check Valves are available in two types. A lower cost version without a disc spring is available for applications where it is not desirable for the process stream to come in contact with metals. A version with disc spring is recommended for pulsating flow and horizontal piping applications where faster disc closure is required to reduce the amount of backflow and possible water hammer.

No Corrosion: All-plastic construction of Hayward Wafer Check Valves ensures these valves will never jam or stick because of rust or corrosion. They will not contaminate sensitive process fluids they come in contact with, and require no painting or coating to stand up to corrosive environments.

Jaeco 316 Stainless Steel Check Valves have been listed by the Idaho Department of Agriculture as Approved Chemigation Equipment for use as injection line check valve to prevent the backflow of water into the chemical tank, causing a possible overflow mixture of water and chemical onto the ground or into the water source. Available in two styles, O-Ring Poppet and Ball, Jaeco check valves are widely used on any liquid system that require a spring loaded check valve for positive, no drip, shutoff and/or backflow protection. The valves also help prevent the full pressure of the irrigation system from blowing the hose.

Both styles have a pressure break of 10 PSI and are available in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" sizes. Valves with a pressure break of 2 PSI are also available. O-ring Poppet valves come standard with Viton^® or Teflon O-rings with other materials available
