Air leakage, or "infiltration" in building terms, is a major source of unwanted heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter. Window and door openings are the most common locations of significant air leakage. Good planning and good products can solve the problem.Â

A well designed window takes full advantage of the sun's energy, keeping your home warm all winter long.  The window world is awash in acronyms and it pays to pay attention to them.  U-value (or U-factor) is the term used to describe the rate of heat flow through a window glazing system; lower value has better insulating quality.  Solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) is the amount of direct solar radiation that enters through window into the home as heat. A product with a high SHGC rating is more effective at collecting solar heat gain during winter. Low-emissivity (Low E) glass is coated with a microscopically thin metallic layer that enables visible light to pass, while blocking ultraviolet and infrared solar energy and reflecting long-wave heat energy.

Products & Services
Skylights are windows that are placed on the roof. They are used to allow light to enter and in some cases allow air ventilation. Learn more about Skylights
Solar water heaters concentrate the sun’s thermal energy to heat water for industrial, commercial, and residential use. There are two main types of products: active and passive. Learn more about Solar Water Heaters
Roofing materials come in many forms. For example, sheet metal, asphalt and tiles are common materials depending on the climate there are best suited for. Learn more about Roofing
Photovoltaic (PV) and solar power systems convert light into electricity. They are the building blocks of photovoltaic (PV) modules. Search by Specification | Learn more about Photovoltaic (PV) and Solar Power Systems
