This isostatic test method covers the determination of organic vapor transmission rate through plastic films and sheeting using Flame Ionization Detector (FID) of gas chromatography method. This method is applicable to materials such as plastic films (including laminated plastic film) and sheeting in testing their organic vapor barrier property. The organic vapor includes volatile organic compound that can be tested with FID. It provides for the determination of solvent permeability, flavor permeability, aroma matters permeability and special odor permeability to special aroma package, cosmetic package, perfume package, alcohol package and beverage package. It can be used to confirm the quality guarantee period of these products reasonably and efficiently, and to test the package of dangerous chemicals. Products & Services
