Usually all you have to do is plug them in, perhaps adjust the resolution, and you're ready to go. However, one particular setting often goes unchanged in monitors, even though it shouldn't be. The setting is the refresh rate. The refresh rate is perhaps the most important of all monitor settings, yet all too often people overlook it. The reason a monitor's refresh rate is so important is because a monitor with a refresh rate set too low can cause the on-screen image to flicker, which leads to eyestrain. It's simply not healthy. You'll want to make sure that your monitor's refresh rate is set to at least 75 hertz and probably higher. Most monitors today support refresh
