You can increase hardware acceleration in your display properties to fix some playback errors. Cycles of eight beeps when you try to power up the PC. This is called a "Display Memory Read/Write Failure" and can happen on systems that use the AMI/Award BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). This beep sequence indicates a video card memory error. In the old days, you used to be able to pull the memory modules off of video cards and replace them. Now, video memory is hardwired into the circuit board, and it would cost more in labor to replace the memory than buy a new video card. However, before you run out for a replacement, try removing the card from the system, blowing any dust or dirt out of its slot, and firmly reseating it. The problem could be a loose connection between the card and the wires in the slot. NOTE: AMI/Award has two additional beep codes that can signal video card trouble. The first is one long beep followed by two short beeps. The second is one long beep followed by three short beeps. Both essentially mean the same thing: Your video card is dead. If you get one of these errors and reseating the card doesn't work, try using it on another computer. If you still don't have video, your card is
Products & Services
Video Cards
Video cards are used to regulate the data displayed on computer monitors.
Frame Grabbers
Frame grabbers are image processing computer boards that capture and store image data for industrial applications such as quality control.
CMOS Image Sensors
Complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors operate at lower voltages than CCDs, reducing power consumption for portable applications. Analog and digital processing functions can be integrated readily onto the CMOS chip, reducing system package size and overall cost.
Video Processor Boards
Video processor boards are used to process video, medical imaging, automated optical inspection, and other related activities. They can be fitted with between one and a thousand digital signal processing (DSP) units in order to increase the computing power of the board.
Bar Code Scanners
Bar code scanners are designed to read imprinted bar / matrix code symbologies. Bar code scanners can be slot card scanners, fixed mount scanners, or hand-held scanners.
