Maximize corrosion resistance and reduce leadscrew surface impurities remaining from processing. Remove surface contaminations, such as iron particles left by cutting tools, that can form rust or act as initiation sites for corrosion with passivation. Generally speaking, passivation is the process of making a material passive or inert in relation to another material prior to using the materials together. The primary purpose of passivation for leadscrews is to remove surface contamination, that can foster corrosion. The thread rolling dies and cutting tools can impart these contaminants and should be removed for optimal longevity and service life of your leadscrews. Products & Services
Industrial cleaning services remove sludge and contaminants; deplug or clean filters; deblind screens or strainers; scour tanks or vessels; and perform biocide applications. They may also condition, clean and treat fuel, oil or other stored media.
Finishing and surface treatment services pretreat or finish the surfaces of manufactured components to meet roughness or surface condition requirements.
Anodizing is a process for finishing aluminum alloys that employs electrolytic oxidation of the aluminum surface to produce a protective oxide coating.
Surface preparation services clean, strengthen and prepare surfaces for additional processing and/or refine or roughen surfaces to meet finishing requirements. Cleaning processes include thermal cleaning, degreasing, spray washing, immersion washing, stripping or coating removal, and ultrasonic cleaning. Finishing processes include blasting, buffing, deburring, deflashing, polishing, electropolishing, honing, mass finishing, mirror finishing, oxygen cleaning, passivation, picking, sanding, and grinding.
Buffing and polishing services perform smoothing operations that change a metal's surface appearance. These operations can be for aesthetic and/or functional purposes.
