Most of our cities discharge a large amount of wastewater everyday, which has severe contaminated the urban surface water. The environment monitoring center of each city monitors urban surface water quality and polluted water resources. Wastewater monitoring network is gradually formed in many cities, consisted of municipal monitoring station, district station and field station. To improve water quality monitoring capability, an urban wastewater monitoring network system is established, including wastewater discharge monitoring substation, central monitoring station and management center (Bureau of Urban Environmental Protection).
