Problem: Testing the speeds of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is tedious and time consuming, requiring a stopwatch, paper, and seemingly endless hours of manual data entry. Objective: Find an improved method for data collection and eliminate manual data entry, which will allow the firm to spend time with the client on other value added activities. Measures: With the help of UmtPlusTM software developed by Laubrass Inc., the Engineering Consultants programmed the various testing criteria required to benchmark the speed of the Material Handling Equipment.
