When designing seals & gaskets, there are many considerations least of which is whether or not the compound specked should be open or closed cell material. Questions such as: what amount of force in pounds per square inch is required for an effective seal and yet not so tight that it prevents a tight seal need to be answered.

Hermetic seals provide a vacuum or leak tight seal such as a brazed glass-to-metal seal.

Hose clamps and band clamps are used to secure pipe, hose, tubing and mating circular parts together. Parts include worm drive hose clamps and profiled v-band clamps.
Hydraulic valves contain and transfer the flow and pressure of hydraulic fluid in hydraulic power systems. They range from simple shutoff valves to precision control valves.
Exclusion seals are comprised of wipers, scrapers and V-ring seals.
