Optical Bonding of LCDs, OLEDs and Plasma Displays

From General Digital Optical Bonding Laboratories

Optical Bonding is the affixing of two optical elements to one another, using a liquid adhesive. In this way, we differentiate bonding from lamination. By lamination, we are referring to the affixing of two optical elements to one another using a pressure sensitive adhesive. Bonding is suitable for use with elements which are rigid and may be substantial in size, while lamination is suitable for affixing a thin membrane, such as an antireflective-coated plastic film, to a more or less rigid substrate, such as an LCD, OLED, Plasma display, touch sensor or anti-vandal shield.

Products & Services
Industrial computer monitors are ruggedized for use in control room, factory floor, or process applications. Search by Specification | Learn more about Industrial Computer Monitors
Flat panel displays (FPDs) are thin, flat, electronic devices used to display data. They are commonly used in notebook computers. Most styles include the housing and ports necessary to connect them to a computer. Search by Specification | Learn more about Flat Panel Displays
Touch screen displays are user-friendly input devices. The user touches the screen and the input is communicated directly to the computer. Search by Specification | Learn more about Touch Screen Displays
Display filters and films are designed to filter, enhanced and/or protect monitors or flat panel displays (FPD). Search by Specification | Learn more about Display Filters and Films
