The Online Meteorology Guide is a collection of web-based instructional modules that use multimedia technology and the dynamic capabilities of the web. These resources incorporate text, colorful diagrams, animations, computer simulations, audio and video to introduce fundamental concepts in the atmospheric sciences. Selected pages link to (or will soon link to) relevant classroom activities and current weather products to reinforce topics discussed in the modules and allow the user to apply what has been learned to real-time weather data. Product training is performed by suppliers to teach customers how to use purchased products. Third-party training is not included in this area.
Instructional seminars and training includes non-credit programs; courses or seminars in engineering, science, technology, management, and other specialized subject areas; and production operation or application-specific training.
Data acquisition is the digitizing and processing of multiple sensor or signal inputs for the purpose of monitoring, analyzing and/or controlling systems and processes. Signal conditioning includes the amplification, filtering, converting, and other processes required to make sensor output suitable for rereading by computer boards.
Server and operating system software includes platforms for operating, managing, and monitoring industrial networks and computers.
Video cards are used to regulate the data displayed on computer monitors.
