Packed Tower Scrubbers for HCN emissions

The cyanide process is often utilized to extract fine gold deposits from rock in mining operations. This process uses a solution of HCN to produce a Gold Cyanide solution. Later processing steps allow the purified gold to be precipitated. This process produces large volumes of water contaminated with HCN which must be removed prior to discharging into the environment or to other recycling steps in the mining process.
