Many high-tech companies have reverted back to a popular method of equipment management implemented in the 1970's: outsourcing. Unlike jobs moving overseas for pennies on the dollar, businesses use third party equipment distributors to manage equipment for R&D companies, government contractors and manufacturers, instead of spending capital to buy equipment.
