Different types of cement are obtained by varying the size of the particles. For example, quick setting cement is produced by grinding finer size particles than those used for ordinary Portland cement.
During grinding, only a small proportion of the energy introduced is actually used. The remaining energy is released in the form of thermal, mechanical and acoustic energy.
