From Digital Systems Engineering, Inc. (DSE)

The DVE RAPTOR's Low-Latency LAP Video Processing Core utilizes local area processing techniques to adaptively provide a high level (yet configurable) amount of detail for a wide variety of video/camera sources. The algorithm is best suited for high dynamic range IR or visible applications but has been optimized to perform well in other situations. Low dynamic range IR or traditional CCD or CMOS imagers also benefit from the ability of the algorithm to make details visible in under-exposed or over-exposed portions of the image. Programmable parameters allow the algorithm to be optimized for various applications.
